he could be a chef if he so wished for it. gone were the days where she lost track of time, and left herself to order takeout and opt to work out for a good chunk of time to stave off extra calories. with an emerald glance to the platter, she hums at his description. "nothing too fancy, mmn..?" the disbelief leaves her, but she moves from the chair to carefully sit herself down on the floor, not too far away from the burly man. [break][break]

"you could have dragged me over to the table.." she leans onto her hands in front of her, with the intention to gently flick a man's shoulder with the tiniest hint of playful coyness in both her tone and slight smile "your cooking is tempting enough. you don't need its presence to convince me~."

but she smiles all the same. maybe she's found herself at the mercy of his antics. he insists that he's alright, and she hopes that's all it is; tumbling down the stairs isn't exactly a painless experience after all. anxiety fuels her need to quickly glance around him, hoping to check for any wounds - with the knowledge that if there were, they'd be bruises under his clothing (but we don't disclose why she would take a good look at him. that's for another time). "if you insist." her shoulders fall at a sigh. instead she raises a hand to his shoulder, hoping to dust off his shirt after the fall. "what was it that you wanted to ask me?"

it's unbecoming of a woman in power, to be consoled by someone so casually. [break][break]

she doesn't try to fight it, the stress impeding her judgement and the fatigue clouding reactivity. nothing further is shared, in fear of further embarrassment (it's humiliating enough to know how silph has tarnished her already). she's so accustomed to people who looked at her in scorn, distaste and judgement; so loathe is she to hold caution against a man when he looks so polite, and seems so sincere. "no, i managed myself quite well" was it too curt? too cold? ".. thank you." she sheepishly tacks on the end. her eyes wander to the passing pokemon, two are safe from dragons' wrath.[break][break]

"i am glad to see you returned safely, too."

"apatite." she calls out to the little blue dragon, who tries his best to waddle from behind. they're to do a bit of training by the waterfall, and she hopes that he doesn't trip on his way. daphne keeps an attentive eye on the little pokemon, and she smiles as he balances to keep from tumbling over. she hums, arms resting against the fence as she shifts her weight upon the picket. "mmn.. i haven't been there in a while." she has memories, and they aren't bad. that's enough reason for her to wear a faint smile to her lips, though it's hard to tell on an ever-changing face. [break][break]

"i suppose seeing all these pokemon in hoenn is a change, and not what you were expecting?"

daphne watches silently as the man brings up six people to his side, and another five approach when they're called out. no doubt that they're surprised, with how sudden his request is. the woman sighs, softly, as she's nudged, but she wears a small smile as she shakes her head. defeated. [break][break]

she doesn't know a thing about making apricorn juice, but she can scour her memory for some "i can do my best." she moves over to the boxes, unhooking the pokeball from her belt to send out the little bagon who was shaking from excitement in his capsule. "apatite can help me out."

though she remembers the night clearly, there's still a fair amount of reservation she holds towards what she's.. so colourfully said. words are easy to say when you're so under the influence, and regretting the choice of words makes it all the more bitter when recalling the night. even when a man insists that it's okay, and even shows it in the form of giving her some form of contact, there's still the lingering anxiety that hangs around her head. doubt is a companion who is all too familiar. [break][break]

she takes a glance at the small blue dragon who roars (though it sounds more like a yelp with his small stature) as his attention is more focused on the other dinosaur. thankfully, he doesn't notice the other pokemon harmlessly floating on by. on the other hand, the blonde woman narrows her eyes. "so you say.." a pinkish hue stretches across her cheeks, and she finds herself with green eyes to the ground. for some reason, it's a bit difficult to look at him. she can't tell him that she didn't want to call him, but she didn't want to tell him that she forgot. and arceus knows that she doesn't want to tell him that she'd be too embarrassed to be able to find the words. were her initial thoughts. she has to gently - metaphorically - bonk herself over the head for thinking that, seeing that it brings a slight, pinkish hue to her cheeks at the thought. he was casually cooking something in the kitchen, though she couldn't quite distinguish what it was (even though she does enjoy cooking from time to time, her tight schedule often doesn't allow it. ever the busy body). [break][break]

her arrival is on cue, just as she watched the man begin to pat himself down for.. something. emerald eyes glance down to her side, seeing a piece of cloth placed on the countertop. she observes for a while longer, and she can't help but to smile a bit, seeing the man aggressively patting himself in an attempt to find the piece. "are you looking for this?" she asks from the doorframe, letting herself in after taking the piece and holding it within her fingers, and out to him.
