Perhaps he should have fielded his gengar. Alas, he had come to rely on Skyler a lot in the recent months, and thought it would be a shoe in for a pokemon match. It had been a juggernaut against Ji-Hoon Ki, but then it seemed Schwatz wasn't much for fairy types. Surprising was it that the man had brought along so many ghost types.

Though at least that had made the fights fairly even.

Nothing about what transpired was even. Easily Andy recognized the camerupt. Epitaph's presence would have been fitting. It would have been a tough fight even without it being megaed, and even if it hadn't, he wasn't sure he could have really pulled it off. Enhanced as it was the fire type attack wilted the half grass typed Skyler Dross.

While the noise emitted was inhuman, it as sullen all the same and the duskull sank towards the floor as a leaf fallen from a tree. Thrusting a ball, it was beamed back inside. Andy glowered, but the little ghost had put up a good fight. What could he expect matching it up against a dusknoir? Two pokemon down, he was getting a tad concerned.

Frozen as he was, the fire fist was a nice contrast, or would have if the Galarian could be objective about the events before him. As the fire punch hit, it shattered the ice and the duskull sagged, his singular eye dimmed slightly before it regained its 'footing,' floating to optimal height. Without being asked, it continued as best it could.

Lashing out with a payback it thought this was all it could do to fulfill what its trainer had asked of it: to bring its A game. Though, moxi-filled as it might be, Monocle knew that A game or not the time he had left in the match was not long. A dusknoir was just too tall an order for it fill.

Admittedly he kinda liked the duskull as it was, especially as he already possessed a dusclops and a dusknoir. Each pokemon had their use, but clearly he had chosen poorly here. As the hulking trainer gave the classic 'don't take it personally' he scowled, although he didn't consider that it could have been meant for Monocle.

The ice punch hit the his duskull full on as it attempted to hover back away from the dusknoir, as the ice spread around the pokemon's form to encapsulate it totally, freezing it in place. There would be nothing it could do afflicted as it was. He shouldn't have picked Monocle for this, but he employed the duskull so little that he wanted to get it some experience.

A look of confusion crossed the boy's face. Better than he remembered? Mauville was not what he would call a typical encounter. Then he took a moment to realize he was in Hoenn and ultra beasts falling out of the sky wasn't actually all that unusual here. More importantly was the dusknoir. Andy had hoped to squeeze some mileage out of his polteagiest.

So little had been taken from the man's marowak however that the shadowpunch easily fainted the teapot. It collapsed against the ground with a clank before beaming back into his pokeball. Switching the pokeballs in his hand, the boy pursed his lips. He hated to do this... it would be unfair to it. But he wanted to save his best for last.

Given that it was a haunted clump of seaweed possessing a maritime object, he wasn't exactly sure what could be offered as a reward beside a wailmer. And those weren't just lying around everywhere. Most combatants had little to say to him, win or loss, so he stopped when Chu-e Choi approached him.

Parties were typically not his scene unless it was mostly people he knew. Outdoor events were another thing entirely. The vastness of nature gave him room to move, and plenty of avenues of escape if something went sideways. While the stadium was huge, it was still compact enough to be claustrophobic with this amount of people.

Walking through an entrance, Epitaph at his side, the sheer volume of attendees stopped him in his tracks. There were a number of familiar faces. Some he saw smooching. Others staggering around drunk. He even spotted John Sullivan under the influence. The aroma of alcohol hit his nose. All of these people...

Nothing felt better than seeing a hatterine get one hit KOed. Ever since he had gotten into a fistfight with Hideo Kino's, he had been spoiling to see one beaten down. Of course now if a rematch ever occurred he would know what pokemon to use in order to put that thing in its place. The next pokemon he had seen while out hunting, as he recalled.

Mawile was partly steel type, just like his dhelmise. Chu-e Choi had figured out his pokemon pretty quickly, but then with the typings melting through his lineup like butter, it was likely pretty obvious. Still, just because Andy had seen the pokemon before didn't mean he was going to underestimate it. So he would try a curve ball.

Attempting to use brutal swing once more, Scribbles hoped to make like a golfer and bat the poor parrot into the advanced barrier protecting the surrounding environment from their ire. While Andy might direct this in experimentation to see what the tech could handle, the runerigus just wants to see this bird fainted before his own infection became too much.
