The crackling of flames was the fastest way for him to tell if he was about to hit the obstacle or not.

Hell, even the Pidgeot was voicing her displeasure at the obstacles. These were absolutely stupid!

Seeing that the Flygon had decided to yeet their rider before flying through the loop—hell, it was going to be even worse for Alexei considering how tall he was and how—conceited his mount was.

Seeing how small the ring was—he braced himself as he closed his eyes and flew through the final ring…

He was sure he could smell some of his hair on fire.

However, the finish was too close to tell—and yet the Flygon had crossed the finish line first!

Once Alexei had managed to recover from the ordeal, he looked up at John.

“Damn, you’re getting better at this,” he said with a grin on his face, holding out his own hand to shake the younger man’s hand should the other take it.

Hello again!

Doug was hung limp off his Flygon's maw, like a wet rag put out to dry. After a moment however, he stirred, gasping to life, at which point his pokemon decided he was well enough to drop on his ass.

Grunting from the floor, the youth glared up at the dragon while rubbing his bottom before his attention was drawn by Alex's hand. At his words, he managed a chuckle as he reached up and grasped the hand, letting the older man help him to his feet.

"Thanks; maybe I won't pass out next time." The youth said wryly, before shaking his head.

"But really... The one who really got great this was this big asshole." He said as he glared up at Guirus, who almost smirked at him in response. He glared harder, before giving up and turning back to Alex.

"It' all thanks to ya and yer gym, Alex! Once again, thanks for the lesson- and the thrill!"
