he hears instructions coming from Cillian Quinn. the smirk comes into place, ready to jump into action as part of his image that he needs to withhold. he recalls the venusaur as he gets ready to action until something else comes to view:

he can't possibly leave him alone to deal with xerneas. if he's learned anything from this unusually exhausting trip, which was a rare occurrence in itself, it's that there was a possibility the seviper would just get right back up like the rillaboom.

fighting the conditioning rocket has instilled to him, priam takes out the lucky gabite on his hand before saying his favorite line.

"i gotchu."

the smaller dragon appears before them. it blinks at priam, awaiting instructions. the sight of it eases priam as he tries to find a traction within the panic of his environment.

"dig!"

the gabite opens its mouth, wordlessly reacting to the command, before it starts to unearth the tree underneath the xerneas. the frequency of every swipe on the ground accelerates exponentially, slowly accruing a big enough dent on the ground to exit the floor with the seviper.

"i don't have much, but-"

priam takes out the last of the mulch and starts spreading it around the xerneas as the gabite makes work of the ground underneath them. infinity energy from around them gets the gabite to only strike stronger and faster against the wood that would eventually get them deep enough in the tree itself.

only then did priam second guess his actions, partly due to not following instructions set for him instead. the gabite mindlessly brings them deeper into the trunk of the tree from above, roided up beyond its usual capabilities.

"wait, is this the right thing to do? shit! fuck!"
