Wren couldn't bear to watch the fight but knew she had to. As a Gym Leader, she had to be tactical and watchful of her challengers. So when her Lucario finally bit the bullet and fainted from the last ditch effort, she was relieved Lennox was going to be resting now.

She said nothing as the Bind and the impact did its duty, recalling her Lucario back quietly. A huff was given - that was all. She didn't want to praise the violent Pokemon or his weird trainer. Praise would come if they won the badge. Wren focused on the Pinsir, knowing it'd be foolish to get close to it but also knowing it was rather slow. She called out a specific Pokemon, already one down.

"Hannibal" she said as the Lycanroc appeared. The wolf grunted, eyes narrowing as he faced the Pinsir. "Stone Edge!" the Gym Leader calls out. He snarls, using his stone sense to raise the rocks along the ground and hurl them at the Pinsir.

"That's one down." he says tauntingly, his smile slightly widening further as he eyes down the fledgling gym leader.

His right brow arches slightly upwards when she calls out her Lycanroc, realizing that, as stubborn as his Pinsir might be, it’s far too weak to properly deal with it. Frowning slightly, he inwardly debates whether to switch it out or to just let it feint, but decides to just let the frenzied bug do its thing.

Watching the stones fly towards it, the beetle seems fearless as it simply charges at the stone; however, as the large boulder inches its way closer, it suddenly ducks its head underneath it as it charges away with its pincers ready. It thrusts its head out as it tries to catch the Lycanroc with an X-SCISSOR, aiming to grab ahold of the rocky wolf before tossing it back with a suplex of its own.
