Oscar smirked as he got closer and closer to the yelling Priam. Eventually Oscar began to shout back, "Priam! Priam over here! Priam it's me Oscar!" It should be noted by this point Oscar was about ten feet away.

Oscar raised his eyebrows at Priam's pokemon choice, "I'm flattered! Best bug it is, but you better be ready for a hell of a fight." Oscar's best bugs were--were not on him. He actually brought his fifth best, and hopefully Priam wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Coincidentally, Oscar send out Scyther's evolution: scizor. Monarch the scizor could be a tad overzealous at times, but he has yet to fail Oscar in a fight. The metallic warrior smacked his fists together, pointing them toward his opponent as a signal of challenge. Oscar folded his arms, "Since you got here first, I'll give you the first-"

Monarch shot off, not waiting for orders to begin. Oscar flinched as the scizor's powerful dash shot a blast of wind into his face. Monarch reeled back, attempting to deliver a succession of Bullet Punches upon his opponent.

Oscar scowled at his scizor's dishonorable tactic. He knew better than to take action before permission was given. As Monarch readied himself to meet the scyther's attack with one of his own, Oscar put a stop to his defiant antics.

"Let it land. That's an order." Monarch froze, his eyes wide as he realized his mistake. He moved out of turn, and must now face the consequences. He stood there, twitching as he fought against every instinct to avoid the strike. He did not have to wait too long, as the scyther's blade cut a gash into Monarch's steel body.

Yet while he felt pain, Monarch's armor would need to be hit a bit harder than that to put a dent in his vitality. Oscar nodded, glad that Monarch was willing to take some lumps instead of acting defiant. "Alright, now you can fight back." With a single swift motion, Monarch swung his claw toward the scyther's shoulders to deliver a Night Slash of his own.

Monarch narrowed his gaze as the air slashes sped toward him. He was initially confident that he would be able to get out of the way, and yet--The blades came in quicker than anticipated. He could barely react before the razor sharp wind bashed into him, leaving several marks across his shining red armor. In his surprise, Monarch flinched.

Oscar smiled, chuckling slightly as he witnessed Monarch's supposed mistake. "Well, this should be interesting." Oscar didn't elaborate, leaving Monarch to 'speak' for himself. The steel warrior may have flinched, but he stood Steadfast and quickly recovered. He observed the marks on his body, before turning a burning gaze toward the Scyther.

Monarch stuck a claw out, twitching it toward him in a sign of challenge. This fight had only just begun.

Monarch stood still as the scyther rushed him, keeping his claw extended. Oscar clasped his hands together, chuckling as the battle was reaching its crescendo. "Let's fuckin' go GIVE IT HELL MONARCH!"

As his opponent neared, Monarch would quickly swing his claw down before Slashing to meet the clash with the scyther's claws. The action was more intended to deflect the scyther's attack rather than harm it, an attempt to make this more like a sword fight.

Oscar tilted his head, agreeing with Priam.

"Yeah you know what? It's pretty satisfying. I expected like, nails on a chalkboard but this is a lot more enticing."

Monarch stayed on the defensive, parrying scyther's attacks with his own swift blows. He was watching intently, almost as if he were waiting for an opening. His Laser Focus was unfaltering, locked onto his vicious opponent. 

All he needed was one slip up, even the slightest wrong move. Then he would strike.

Oscar beamed at the mention of the robot, which is to say genesect. He was very excited to have it, and even more excited to see it in action. He nodded enthusiastically, "Fuck yeah. It needs a ton of upgrades, so it'll be nice to have someone to test it out with." First thing's first was that little energy problem, it won't be much use if it keeps falling asleep. 

Meanwhile the fight raged on. Scyther threw out a feinted slash, which Monarch allowed to hit him in the side. Monarch slammed down his arm, attempting to lock scyther's blade and hold scyther still. With his free arm he would begin trying to relentlessly Bullet Punch scyther until he started seeing stars--or broke free whatever came first.

His opponent was downed, and Monarch let out a sigh of relief. It was a fun fight, thought he wasn't sure how long he could actually last if the scyther kept things up. He was a tough motherfucker, and he had Monarch's respect.

Oscar furrowed his brow at Prim's statement, "Hey now, green is a fine color. A lot of cool shit is green like--grass. And um, leaves. And um----I'll get back to you."

At the mention of painting Genesect, Oscar would initially cringe before giving it some further thought. "Y'know? That might be kinda badass. I mean we could try it, worst case scenario we turn it back to purple if it looks bad." The mention of Genesect's true color brought up a curiosity that had been rattling around in Oscar's head. Only now did he realize that this would be the perfect time to have it answered.

"Hey you were around when Genesect was made right? Why the fuck is it purple?"
