Yes, it was good that they were being protected, since the stars were crashing down all over the battlefield. A stalwart warrior of darkness (Zigzagoon) who had just opted to try and coax an enemy into giving up instead of continuing the fight was not just blasted by said enemy’s attack, which it weathered somewhat well with its advantages, but was cruelly stabbed in the back by the coldest of fangs, briefly freezing in the process!

However, its princess (Iglypuff) did not sit idly by. Crying out with a disarming voice, it sought to stop the chaos and violence reigning all around them. And the other warrior of darkness, the ice-cold assassin supporting the hero from the shadows (Sneasel)? It decided that this was the right moment to rush at the Dustox, use it as a stepping stone in order to fling itself high into the air, seeking to align itself with the moon that sadly was not up in the moment as it sought to strike the vile parasite controlling all the evil in the world with it’s blessed weapon, the Metal Claws.

Or something like that.

The Dark Lord Parasect retched as she spun around wildly, spitting a bunch of spore in the Sneasel's face as he soared for her, too dizzy from her spinning to hold it in.

Dustox squealed angrily as it was used as a stool, it's squeals swiftly teaching high, nigh intolerable levels and becoming a painful buzz, spreading around it wildly.

The Gligar had been nearest when disarming voice screeched over, sending him rolling across the floors before he swung his arms wide and sent himself hurtling back to the Togepi, pirouetting acrobaticaly to strike at the egg princess!

Parasect used Spore!
Dustox used Bug Buzz!
Gligar used thunder fang!

The poor princess was assaulted by a fierce fang of thunder and thus, briefly, all but swooned as she flinched and squealed from the damage. However, the knight of ice and darkness pierced through the spores that had been so unbecomingly spewed upon it, once more slashing at the other Pokemon in mid air with fury swipes. It would deal with the consequences of that later, even as it tried to block out that horrible, horrible sound.

Which, in the meantime, irritated by the sound and pain, Zigzagoon put everything it had into one last headbutt, aimed directly at the Dustox in front of it.

Grabbing the Togepi, the Gligar did an acrobatic maneuver before attempting to fling her at the airborne Sneasel, just as the Dustox got bonked across the face, an its angry squeals cracking the earth around it as it rolled violently, the flap of its wings sending thrumming buzzes all around her and tore into the pavement and cracked nearby glass!

Parasect cracked her head, using rage powdee!
Dustox used Bug Buzz!
Gligar used acrobatics!

Well, that wasn’t going so well. Zigzagoon had quite clearly hurt the other a lot, but that threshing was too much for the reeling Pokemon, causing it to faint soon after. The same seemed true for the delicate Iglypuff, which was also taken out by that mid-air collision. Violet recalled both of them with a sigh. She was neither angry, nor disappointed, fo course. After all, she just randomly fought this battle without stakes. So, she did not really feel bad about losing anyway.

Yet, there was still an airborne Sneasel. It was also close to defeat and knew that. But it was not giving out. Not at all. With Rage Powder in its face and the power of desperation, the little one would once more use the Metal Claw as it allowed gravity to assist it and sought to hit the Parasect one final time as they both would impact with the ground, in the hopes of at least taking that one out.

The Parasect fell to the blow, K.Od by the Sneasel's final efforts.

The fight over, Doug surveyed the battlefield in silence for a moment, before making his way up to Vio, and producing a badge.

"Heh, shows what I know, they were pretty darn good, lady." He said, dropping the 'old' as he grinned at her. "Sorry bout the attitude earlier, I was outta line."

He didn't know the girl; trying to mess around with her was uncalled for when they weren't even close.

"Don't get me wrong, though. This badge ain't part of the apology or anything- ya were just good enough to earn it. Thanks for the battle, Lady!"
