Shin hadn't gotten a chance to stretch his legs yet today, Ping also seemed eager for a fight, and Half-Moon was fresh enough she might as well ask about the full trio getting a chance.

The first Pokeball to pop open was Shin's, the Teddiursa snarling with excitement as he saw three foes. His face fell slightly when two other Pokeballs opened next to him, leaving him with an equal amount of teammates instead. "Divide and conquer!" called Cardamom. "Meteor Mash, Night Slash, Normal Slash!" Half-Moon and Shin moved first, Half-Moon's claws glowing with dark energy aimed at the Exeggcute, while Shin went to challenge the Whiscash with a more normal-aligned slash. Beeping slightly, Ping went for the last remaining opponent-the Grimmsnarl, with an extended metallic "fist."

"oh! i'm danny. nice to meet you!"

and the battle kicks off. he's scrambling to form plans in his head as attacks are thrown their way. his pokemon will just have to take them first round, sadly.

exeggutor's hit by the NIGHT SLASH, cutting away leaves off the top of his head. he returns an EGG BOMB that's tossed over. ya YEET

whiscash is hit by the SLASH but rushes forward to TICKLE the other.

grimmsnarl, easily the most experienced out of the three, takes the METEOR MASH and closes the distance to throw a POWER-UP PUNCH.

Oh right, she'd almost forgotten as well. She offered him a smile. "I'm Cardamom! It's nice to meet you too!" she agreed, though most of her attention was still focused on the battle itself. Half-Moon took the Egg Bomb with a grunt, growling as it singed her fur, before said fur started to spike up and shot out, sending a Pin Missile right at the dual Psychic/Grass-type. While unhurt, Shin was definitely feeling humiliated, growling and snarling even as he giggled at the tickles, until he managed to wriggle free and deliver a Feint Attack right at the fish's belly. Last, Ping floated backwards in shock at the punch, before hearing Cardamom call out "Another Meteor Mash!" and obeying, driving forwards to exchange yet another punch.

exeggutor takes the PIN MISSILE, roaring in pain as his eyes pulse in a HYPNOSIS on the obstagoon.

the FEINT ATTACK connects, slapping against whiscash's chunky belly which only makes him BELCH out his lunch from earlier.

again, the grimmsnarl takes the METEOR MASH, showing his strength as he returns a HAMMER ARM.

Poor Shin was being extremely humiliated this battle. He let out a pained growl as the smell invaded his sensitive nose, quickly Slashing wildly at the Whiscash, this time more to simply push it further away from him. Half-Moon quickly turned her head away from the hypnotizing waves, but even catching a glimpse out of the corner of her eye proved to be enough, quickly sending her snoring, though she somehow remained standing even so. Ping, meanwhile, had caught on to the pattern and was exchanging another Meteor Mash with their big-fisted foe.

the SLASH drags across whiscash's scales, hurting and creating distance. but that doesn't last long — whiscash darts forward to swing his AQUA TAIL at the teddiursa.

and it seems like grimmsnarl and metang are stuck in a loop. once again, METEOR MASH is countered by HAMMER ARM.

Shin was knocked sideways, the impact making him skid across the ground with a growl. He stood up, looking more bruised than seriously battered, and absolutely livid. Before Cardamom could give another command, he was already lunging to Slash wildly at the fish, now just wanting to take it down by any means necessary. Ping, meanwhile, simply switched to their other arm to continue delivering yet another Meteor Mash.[break][break]
And Half-Moon slept on, snoring, despite Cardamom calling out to her a few times in hopes of waking her up.

[attr="class","danny"]exeggutor feels a bit bad about attacking a sleeping opponent...so the grass-type spends this turn simply dancing, hopping on one foot then the other as he conjures up a shield of REFLECT.

the SLASH would've been enough to down the whiscash if not for the prior TICKLE. he holds on just enough to throw another AQUA TAIL back at the lil bear.

grimmsnarl takes the METEOR MASH and slowly feels an arm giving out. because of it, he switches to the other arm and throws the same HAMMER ARM.

"You're almost done, Shin!" called Cardamom encouragingly, even as the tiny bear was sent flying across the arena once more. The Teddiursa let out a frankly adorable-sounding roar of triumph before charging, ready to finish this with one last Slash. Ping and the Grimmsnarl were pretty much in a rut now, both of them punching away and both of them willing themselves to keep going in the cycle of Hammer Arms and Meteor Mashes. Half-Moon's snoring was disrupted a bit at the various loud noises around her, her ears twitching slowly as she started waking back up. Cardamom, seeing this, let out a cry of encouragement, trying to make her stir even more.[break][break]

the whiscash is the first to fall but not after throwing out one final AQUA TAIL, hoping it'd be enough to faint the teddiursa as well.

again, the grimmsnarl and metang do the same thing, though perhaps grimmsnarl's slowly reaching his limit. regardless, he continues throwing HAMMER ARM.

The Aqua Tail by itself probably wouldn't have fainted Shin, but as luck would have had it, it sent him skidding towards where Half-Moon was just slowly waking up, catching both of them in the blast. While Half-Moon was mostly just singed, Shin was now unconscious, whether from the explosion or from being slammed into her bulk. Cardamom raised a hand to cover her mouth, letting out an "oof" as she withdrew the Teddiursa. Growling and shaking her head, Half-Moon glared at the palm tree-like Pokemon, stepping forwards to deliver a Night Slash that would hopefully hit hard enough, even through the barrier.[break][break]Meanwhile, upon seeing how their opponent was flagging, Ping seemed to get excited. They suddenly stopped their punching, backing up for a moment before suddenly charging forwards to attempt a Take Down in hopes of finishing things once and for all.
