Another match was scheduled for him today—and this time he was bringing some of the other fliers who didn’t get a chance to join in on the insanity (mostly because of size) so they could get some exercise.

So he was being followed around by a Hawlucha and a Masquerain—the latter who was buzzing close to him; the other was walking along in front of him, clearing the path for him as he made his way to another arena.

“You’re my next opponent?” he inquired, shifting his balance as he limped in like a noodle, leaning on the crutch for support.

“Sorry I’m late!”

Okay, so the match-ups were going to be rather skewed—but between his two the Hawlucha had slightly more experience in battle since he’d already seen action before in one of the few iterations he’d tried a traditional battle for his Gym.

Right then and there the whistle went off, signifying the start of the battle—

And at the same time, the Masquerain began a beautiful dance in mid-air; while the Hawlucha prepared by getting the speed going.

Masquerain used Quiver Dance; while Hawlucha used Agility!

It was time to fly.

“Wind!” was all he would say, as the tiny little Masquerain then flapped its tiny wings before throwing the most powerful Gust it could conjure towards the Exeggutor.

Unfortunately for the Hawlucha, the Flattery thrown its way threw him into a literal loop—of confusion!

“Tsk,” he hissed as the Hawlucha danced around. “Snap out of it!”

Instead, the Hawlucha threw a Drain Punch and ended up hitting himself instead.

Masquerain used Gust on Exeggutor; while Hawlucha is confused and used Drain Punch and hurt himself in its confusion!

endeavor complete: use a super effective move on an opponent!

grimmsnarl nods then closes the distance to throw the first punch of a SPIRIT BREAK.

The Hawlucha was still lurching around like a drunken idiot, trying to aim properly—an attempt at Drain Punch at the strange blur but ended up hitting thin air.

And he got hit with—whatever that attack was, and it hurt!

“Faster!” he continued, as the Masquerain then released a loud, sibilant buzzing in the form of Bug Buzz towards the Exeggutor.

Masquerain used Bug Buzz on Exeggutor; while Hawlucha is confused and used Drain Punch but ended up hitting nothing (and takes the attack from the Grimmsnarl in the process)!

[attr="class","danny"]BUG BUZZ hurts a lot; more than exeggutor expects and it sweeps him off his feet. he lands on his butt, bouncing just once before he summons up a LEAF STORM in retaliation, targeting the hawlucha again.

grimmsnarl continues the assault on hawlucha — SPIRIT BREAKING it.

For some strange reason the Masquerain wasn’t being targeted, only the Hawlucha was, so—

Taking the advantage, the small dual-type used Quiver Dance once more. Down on the ground—the Hawlucha was still trying to punch the air—no it was kick the air this time as he felt the wind knocked out of him, sending the luchador flying.

“Get up!” he called from his side of the arena, to which the Hawlucha did—and then yeeted straight into the air—had the confusion spell broken?!

Incoming Flying Press on the gremlin from 11 o clock!

Masquerain used Quiver Dance while Hawlucha is getting the ass kicked out of him for the moment except he snaps out of confusion and goes in for a Flying Press on the Grimmsnarl!

the FLYING PRESS connects, catching grimmsnarl off guard. at the attack, grimmsnarl decides to bow in a FALSE SURRENDER before a spike of hair shoots out at the hawlucha.

exeggutor sends a simple EGG BOMB over hawlucha's way as well.

The luchador was proud. The luchador would never give up.

But holy shit what was up with that hair?!

Another battering attack taken, and this time the Hawlucha attempted to smack the Grimmsnarl with an Endeavor attack; never mind if he’d gotten hit by the Egg Bomb at the same time.

The Masquerain on the other hand—was getting really pissed.

Another loud Bug Buzz shook the general area.

Masquerain used Bug Buzz around the area while Hawlucha is getting owned from both sides however he refuses to give up and attempts to use Endeavor on the Grimmsnarl!

grimmsnarl decides to meet the ENDEAVOR head-on. literally. he FALSE SURRENDERS and once again sends a spike of hair out right as the ENDEAVOR connects.

The luchador—would—never—give up!

However, he was on his last legs before doing a last-ditch, low-coasting Flying Press attempt at the Grimmsnarl, while the Masquerain remained on long-distance back-up…

This time, a powerful Whirlwind threatened to flatten the area around the Grimmsnarl.

Masquerain used Whirlwind while Hawlucha takes the attack again (but is on his last legs) and goes for a low-coasting Flying Press on the Grimmsnarl!

[attr="class","danny"]in typical movie fashion, the exeggutor runs over and leaps to take the FLYING PRESS for the grimmsnarl. the move knocks the grass-type out, but makes it so grimmsnarl's able to withstand the pain of the WHIRLWIND.

"eggheads you beast!"

if only eggheads could hear him...

grimmsnarl seeks revenge and slaps the hawlucha with a SPIRIT BREAK.

Okay that was—surprising?

The Hawlucha could only watch as the tree literally dived in front of the gremlin and took the brunt of the attack however, the lashing out caught him in his path because he was too distracted!

Wind knocked out of him a final time, the Hawlucha finally collapses, passed out due to exhaustion—which then left the Masquerain.

Uh-oh.

Shrieking murder, the Masquerain then flung its worst Bug Buzz at the Grimmsnarl.

Masquerain is now :ANGERY: and used Bug Buzz on the Grgimmsnarl! Hawlucha is knocked out!
