Banana Bread still hadn't gotten to fight much in the tournament-and it seemed like he kept meeting bad matchups. While the saurian didn't seem too bothered by that, Cardamom figured he deserved another chance to do his best in a fight. Which was why she'd called him out for this battle, a simple 1 vs 1 with no fancy rules. He snorted a little, pawing the ground as he waited for his opponent to arrive.

daniella hadn't had a chance to battle yet but that was fine, there was still plenty of time for them to get an actual battle in. at least that's what she was pretending. so long as they were quick this would be fine. absolutely fine. probably. with a deep breath she released the gardevoir onto the battle field so that they could get this going. "hi! my name is giselle! let's have a good battle." after all that's what they were both here for.

leaves were going to be flying all over the place it seemed as giselle's gardevoir also decided to send leaves into the air with a magical leaf. mixing and cutting at the leaf tornado as well. it wasn't the best of counters but she supposed it was one. giselle had forgotten that the psychic type was mostly passive. but it was fine.

The flurry of leaves made it quite hard to see both Pokemon for a moment, before they died down. Banana Bread looked quite unhurt by the leaves that had slashed past him, and snorted a bit as he rushed in close to attempt a Body Slam. After all, as ineffective as that technique had been, it was likely the Gardevoir had other tricks up her sleeve. Paralyzing her might stop them from going off.

the attack hit hard, of course it did against the psychic type. but she wasn't going to let that stop her from attempting. but the paralysis might. it waved over her body slowly as she tried to figure out what to do. a captivate attack would at least buy her a little bit of time and space from the tropius beast.

Banana Bread blinked, his expression softening a bit as the Gardevoir wooed him. He backed up slightly, trying to summon another Leaf Tornado, but it was much smaller than the last one, a clear sign his heart wasn't quite in it.

the captivate was enough for daniella to at least get some breathing room, with a smaller and much more easily avoided leaf tornado coming towards it she had the ability to use wish to get some of her health back. it would make it easier for her to breath if she could just get a little bit of her health back.

Banana Bread stared, wondering what the Gardevoir was about to do. He was familiar with Nash and the Absol's Future Sight technique, after all. Wanting to try and stop her before something could happen, he moved forwards to Body Slam her again, though not with his full weight this time.

the wish made her feel moderately better. after all that was what it was for. just to make her feel like she could move further onto the battle. she didn't particularly care for it but it was what she was here for. as the tropius got close once more she let out a full streamed magical leaf. the amount of damaging moves she actually had were few, but she could make due.

Ah, so it was a healing technique. Still, Banana Bread was relatively uninjured even with the second Magical Leaf, so he felt no need to do his own healing yet. Rearing up, he lowered one front foot in a Stomp to try and finish this before it came to that.

normally it would be fine for her to move out of the way from a larger pokemon. after all she floated and moved quickly. but the paralysis took over in that moment, freezing her body as the stomp came through hard. the gardevoir cried out a bit, her floating not really able to keep up as she crumpled to the ground.

Now, Banana Bread would admit he didn't quite have it in him to physically strike an opponent who'd been downed like that. Stomping her again would just feel mean at this point. So he backed up a bit, summoning up a Leaf Tornado in hopes of finishing this indirectly.

if she was going to go out, then it would be on her own terms. using memento at the tropius, staring at him pathetically from the ground as she fainted there. finished with the battle before the leaf tornado even hit. hopefully making him feel even worse.

"oh, she's a little bit dramatic. sorry..."

she recalled the gardevoir as to stop the scene from going on. it was just theatrics now.
