After the Rattata was captured, he picked up the Safari Ball and considered it for a while.

Another mewling noise interrupted his thoughts, and the Lucario looked up in time to see that this time there was a Shinx lurking nearby.

“Leave it,” he remarked as he took another path. “We’re looking for something else.”

Shrugging, the Lucario then followed Lars deeper into the Safari Zone.

The last search of the day would prove fruitful—a third Meowth came yowling out of the nearby undergrowth.

“Oh, nice,” he said as he tilted his head in the incoming Pokémon’s direction. “Do what you have to, Alph,” he remarked as this new Meowth came in Swiping its Fury at the Lucario.

Making a face, the jackal Pokémon sighed before taking the attack and then flinging his paws outward in the same Counterattacking gesture.

Yowling as it was forced backward, a loud Screeching noise then cut through the air, making the Lucario stop and cringe for a few moments.

A few seconds afterward the Lucario dashed forward thanks to the burst of Extreme Speed before slamming its fists in an uppercut-style Meteor Mash attack. the loud yowling receded in the distance, which made Lars click his tongue at the Lucario who gave him a shit-eating smirk before pointing skyward.

Before the Meowth could come crashing down, the last Safari Ball was thrown.
