There’s so many reasons why she’d prefer to refrain from doing the sort of things Uri probably wants to do with her. So many reasons why she thinks it’s a bad idea and would end terribly.

Sol sighs, almost in resignation, yet nothing about her expression shows this. Still, she stares at him, and she leans forward and down, ignoring the fact that she’s probably giving him a good view down her shirt. Not like Sol cares about things like those, especially not right now.

”Uri. Don’t make promises you’re not sure you’re going to be able to keep.”

Her hands find his cheeks, cupping them as she holds his gaze.

”I won’t say those things, but I’ll give you a maybe. Is that good enough for you right now?”

Sol is not an optimist, she has never been.

She’s as far from it as possible, actually; always expecting the worst from people and believing they will disappoint her if she dares have even a modicum of faith in them.

Uri is no exception to this. Sol still sees no reason to believe he will be any different from everyone else she’s met, and this is something he may have to prove to her.

Still, she doesn’t move away.

”Good.”
[break][break]
His cheeks are squished, and with a slight smirk she finally lets go, straightening her back just as she turns towards the beach.

”Let’s get out of the water now, I’m sick of being soaked.”

As should probably be expected from Sol, she doesn’t wait for his response, already walking out of the water by the time she says these words.

he watches her turn away from him and is quick to follow her out, knowing full well she's not going to wait for him.

"you're still going to be soaked when we get out."

it only takes a few strides to catch up to her. his hand slips into hers, holding on for the short distance until they arrive at their stuff. he reaches down for her purse, then extends it over to her.
