it was at this point priam realized that he never asked anything of this personal level to bryan. the last few months was all about him drowning himself with any work he can get himself to. this was his break.

"hobbies? interests?" priam continues to bombard. "ooh! i feel like you'd be bad at anything related to arts, so i guess it's not that either!"

bryan doesn't feel like the other people on rocket. that was enough for him to continue on with the subject instead of steering it somewhere else.

he should've been letting bryan cook at home for them instead of him spending a lot on eating instant ramen or fast food. on hindsight, their fridge is mostly stocked with beer so there wouldn't be any room for grocery.

a shift in expression tells bryan that priam got hooked on the topic. bryan did the mistake of indulging on priam's question when he could've shot it down the first moment.

"whaddya did? lemme guess? delinquent with a heart of gold! got into a lot of trouble as a kid for fun, but you still did your best and tried to make up for it as you matured! that fits your backstory, right?"

a shot in the dark, but a cliche nonetheless with rocket's ever-growing roster since kanto days. he hoped those guys got out of the organization eventually.

it's mostly him trying to make things much more optimistic that it seemed to be more than it is a jaded view of reality.

the list continues. priam just doesn't know the terms that other people use to describe their trade within the criminal organization.

The next statement though made him tilt his head in confusion at Priam, that was a strange question to ask. "Of course I'm sticking around." he told him, he didn't really see him working alongside the league. "Why would I ever want to leave?" he said shoving him playfully on his shoulder. [break][break]

In truth, he didn't want to leave cause Priam was there. This feeling in his stomach was uncomfortable, what the fuck was this? Anxiety? No it wasn't anxiety cause it felt good yet bad..was this butterflies in someone's stomach? This was not an accurate description at all.

priam shrugs, unable to keep his thoughts within unlike a skwovet keeping berries within its cheek pouch.

there are still things that he has yet to learn from bryan, and vice versa. is asked why he hangs out with bryan a lot, priam probably wouldn't be able to give an answer.

the clenched fist is playfully slapped by priam, as if trying to dispel any sort of frustration with a gesture.

For however silly Priam was though, he made a valid point. Liligant was one of the few things he still had from when he was very young, she was just a small Petilil. She was a pain in the ass back then and still is. "I wished somethings changed about Liligant at least." checking around to make sure she wasn't out of her pokeball and listening. "Hey Priam?" he said after a small moment of silence between the two.

he invented the story. everyone else was too worried about their own situation to be taking note of others that weren't that important back then.

he stops himself from talking when bryan mentions something about liligant. his head turns around as well when bryan looks around for his pokemon, though priam does it too without knowing the reason why.

a silence is held before bryan speaks again.

it catches him by surprise, and priam's smile turns from exaggerated to a rarer mild one from him.

"same."

without a tie to get his hair together, priam starts to drag the entirety of them in front of him and starts to braid it absently. he does so without putting much focus on it since it does get hotter with every second, resulting to an uneven braid.

the excitement returns when he opens his mouth to speak again.

"i've already gotten a pokemon to remind me of you when you get off of rocket too! i do it with everyone else who would, hehe, but i got an absol!"

his shroomish, his braviary, his sylveon, his luxray... the list continues, but as of the moment, the absol was last on the list.

nicknames make one closer to their pokemon, or so priam was told, and he does his best not to get attached like what was taught to him on kanto. shortening species name and adding a 'y' was a loophole in priam's head so he kept doing it.

he turns to bryan when he calls for him and then asks about him.

"yeah?"

only then does he realize the lightheadedness. he tries to stand up but finds himself suddenly getting dizzy, though he still trudges towards the door.

"nevermind. i'm not."
