Besides being blared everywhere on the news, the sootopolis takeover had been far from Jasper's mind. Of course he felt bad in a kindaish sorta way, but it wasn't enough to stir some sense of action, or even round up to the nearest dollar after every transaction at a Poke-mart. So when a sudden whirl of hollering citizens congregated within Lilycove City they were honestly left bewildered. Was the situation here that bad?

Hands shoved into their joggers, they hovered near the end of the crowd, propped up on their tippey toes to peer over the bobbing sea of heads. It was then they witnessed a masked figure swoop down from his corviknight and speak out to the crowd of disgruntled citizens. "..." They shook their head to the curtailing of the speech via cardboard slam down. It was an ugly sight to see.

Then another voice sliced through the conglomeration of shouts. It belonged to a blond man who tugged the collar of the bozo responsible for the cardboard slam down, tossing them away without much difficulty. For whatever reason, his tone and voice left a bad taste in Jasper's mouth. Sounded like a snob. "Fuckin' knob." He muttered.

Jasper nodded his head to the masked man's words. He was right in every way possible. It was absolute comedy to think the league is shit enough for these morons to parade a gang of average crooks for some heroic savior. After all they've done, too.

Just as the crowd started to ease down to the masked man's pleas, the same knob from before piped up again. His response evoked an eyeroll and a proper groan from Jasper. Though, it wasn't the knob's sleezy words of deceit that rattled them, but the positive response he earned from the crowd. A few cheered, others simply nodded, and one even whooped.

"Oi stop selling us that shit." Their voice bellowed over the crowd as Jasper nudged their way through. They had enough. "Y'all ain't tryin' to help no one except yourselves." They glared at THEO BECKETT , then glanced back towards the people squashed beside them and behind. "The other guy's right-- y'all rockets would do anything to gain power. That's why y'all kidnap and steal. Hell, people who want to help don't invade a whole fuckin' city." 

He wasn't sure who was worse. The self righteous dweeb pleading to the crowd, or the rocket whose trying frame his organization as the "good guys".



"C'mon, dude." Jasper couldn't roll his eyes enough. As someone whose participated in not-so-legal activities, nothing sounded worse than someone doing the same shit as him, but pretending it was for some noble cause. Killing is killing, stealing is stealing - there is nothing noble about it.



Yet, here rocket was, pretending that their acts are for "Hoenn". What a lame ass trick. It was sleezy, too, getting people's hope riled up just to fuck them over. "All y'all rockets have done is make more shit for people to clean up. Change my ass. Last rocket I met was a robbin' my favorite casino. How does THAT produce change, asshole? Man said 'I'm taking back what's rightfully rocket' -- oh yeah, love that change you're helpin' bring. Love seeing my favorite casino get fucked over."

The rocket's lack of response elicited a snarl from deep down their throat. Heat lit their eyes as they drooled on about 'Kanto' and how they want them to thrive all the same.



"How? By just following rocket's beck and call?" They rolled their eyes. A spade is a spade, no matter how much it wants to be perceived as a heart. "How the fuck are y'all gonna bring stability by destroying what's left of Hoenn's stability? What's the plan, wise one?"
