he's floundering a little, scrambling to gather more snow before she can launch another attack. and while she enjoys the playful hiss of bitch, she's playing a different game now.

one that includes her victory.

her feet are, perhaps, quicker than his hands. where he's still gathering snow for another snowball, she's abandoned the snow in favor of simply launching herself at him. her body shifts into a tackle and she'll drag them both down into the snow now.

"gotcha," she snickers. the winning grin is unwilling to leave her lips.

her tackle connects, taking both of them to the ground and into the snow. it scatters all around them in a beautiful flurry that's accompanied by the sounds of laughter. he peers up at her, reaching his arms up to wrap around her body, holding her close.

"that was dirty."

but he should've expected as much.

"but i concede."

arms wrap around her body and she snuggles closer to his warmth, body wiggling slightly. sure, there's snow all over them and it's probably ruining her hair but this is cute and comfy. she has no complaints, really.

at least, until he says he concedes. somehow, that seems almost too easy...

"not gonna put up a fight, love?" her smile is warm, even if it's dipping into challenging territory.

smartly. but in this battle, losing is almost the same as winning. it's just a matter of who ends up on top.

cian doesn't mind either.

"and right now, conceding seems like my best option."

whether he knows better or simply gives up, she doesn't know nor care to look into. the end goal is the same either way. roles can always be reversed later.

"good," she purrs out with a satisfied smile. "wise choice." and as if to cement it, she presses a light kiss to his chest before pushing her upper body upright once more.

"we can have a rematch later." maybe not in the snow, though...

but then again, there's nothing for him to lose if he does. quite the opposite, actually.

his elbows shift underneath him as he props himself up, leaning on them.

"what shall we do now, cutie?"

and then, with a wiggle of her hips, she’s lifting up and out of his grasp. a hand stretches down toward him a moment later.

”whatever you want to get into,” her head tilts slightly to the side as if a memory weighs it down. ”although… you need winter clothes, right?”

he reaches his hand out for hers, rising back to his feet moments later. plumes of snow fall off him, scattering back to the ground.

"i do."

because this one sweater isn't nearly enough.

"you can pick some out for me and i'll try them on."

”you’re gonna let me dress you?” somehow, the thought makes her giddy. realistically, no matter what he wears, she’s still infatuated. ”i’m honored.”

and not just because she’ll also get to take it off.

eventually, they come to a store, and cian's peering at the mannequins dressed in winter clothing at the storefront. one of them sports a sleek grey coat that looks fashionable, comfortable, and expensive.

"that's the one."

he points, then tugs her into the store.

"come on. you can pick out some more."

she's, admittedly, a little too enamored with the atmosphere around them. falling snow continues to coat sidewalks and streets until everything's pristine and pure. add warm fairy lights and it's heavenly. of course, it's second best to him but that's too mushy for her right now.

a warm smile tugs at her lips, growing when he all but yanks her into the store.

"promise?" a laugh follows. she'd happily pick out whatever he wanted. it's very probable that he looks good in everything, anyway, and if you asked for her to pick? her bed would be the answer. hehe.

the store has a cozy atmosphere and tinkering music playing softly in the background. classy, upscale, the exact place she'd steal from...

"are you looking for any specific colors? styles?"
