“You flatter me,” he remarked quietly, a quiet little chuckle escaping him.

Just as he was about to get laid on thick with the compliments, the Lucario made a huffing noise and pointed around them.

“Hm? Vince, what?” he asked the jackal Pokémon, who gestured around them. It was like… the ‘ripple’ that had appeared was disintegrating into nothingness, before he pointed ahead and tilted his head once again.

“What, we can make a run for it?”

“Lu.”

Alas, his own remark would have to remain a secret, at least for now, because the way the wind had quieted down and the energy crackling was alerting the Lucario that it was safe to move again.

“We better get out of here before shit happens again, I wouldn’t want to be the damsel in distress a second time around,” he said in Memo’s direction.
