he also shares his live gps location with her. this is the first time he's done this but it didn't seem to matter in the past. is he quite easy to find in general?[break][break]

for now, he leans against a tree, waiting, whistling, hoping she shows up.

It's not a lie. she was busy. She was busy binge-watching the latest season of elite, a shallow drama about high-schoolers with way too much time on their hands. Surprisingly, it still entertained her despite the fact she wasn't part of the target audience.

Katherine can't help but trail after Danny's gaze, sneaking another quick glimpse at his glued shoulder and arm. So embarrassing. She'd have felt bad for him if it wasn't for the fact that she had to come here instead of finishing another episode-- but, well.

There's no point in dwelling on that anymore.

"Not even some pokemon? Seriously?" There's also no point in making him feel worse about the situation, but Kat's not doing that intentionally. Not entirely, at least.

Either way, she retrieves a Pokeball and releases Malice, her Vespiquen, from within the capsule. The bug-type buzzes in annoyance that's almost reflective of its trainer's. "Erm, he needs help. Do you mind calling some of your friends?"

The buzzing intensifies as a (small) swarm of Combees picks up on the queen bee's pheromones, rushing to her aid. Or, rather, DANNY HALL's.

They chip away at the honey and begin to consume it, slowly but surely.

True to her name, Malice can only buzz in contempt in response to Danny's gratitude. She had not an ounce of pity or subtle affection for the man compared to her trainer. Only seething, bubbling irritation.

Her lips purse, cogs turning in her mind. She dreads the looming awkward silence, but Danny shatters her expectation. In a good way. A breath escapes her.

"You wouldn't like it," Katherine decides despite having never asked what his taste was like. "I don't even know why I like it. It's very shallow. I guess some of the actors are cute," that explains it. That, and the clothes.

it's a blessing and a miracle that the one day danny decides to get stuck to a tree is the day he doesn't have any rocket assignments. it's his free day, essentially, and what better way to spend it than stuck to a tree talking to katherine?[break][break]

at her question, he could only chuckle at the sheer stupidity of why he'd gotten stuck in the first place.[break][break]
