the heat of the sun roils against nani's skin something fierce but the woman doesn't look too perturbed by it, if at all. naturally; as if being born and raised in an arid waste didn't come with it's perks.

hand raised, she narrows her eyes a little through the shade it offers while she looks up a little skyward at the blue swablu drifting what appears to be aimlessly, though nani knows the little pokemon is close to identifying their quarry as asked.

"hmm. i've never seen the appeal of hotsprings."

evidentially other people do, if the fuss they kicked up about this minor inconvenience is anything to go by.

nani's brow quirks a little at danny's tone. she sees the appeal of bathing well and good. everyone likes to feel clean and she'd never quite rid herself of the weakness for nice cold showers.

"milk tea is fine. i can do without the leaf water. but do you mean to tell me you're jumping for joy at the thought of lazing around in," thanks to her getting a little riled up she struggles to settle on a way to describe her issues with communal bathing, mouth bending into a grimace. up above, his swellow caws! and calls for their attention. it starts leading them towards what danny assumes to be the blockage.[break][break]

the swellow's cries cut her off and prompt her to try spotting the bird. a little further ahead, circling and coaxing her own swablu to follow suit.

"damn, well it looks like you found it first." she sighs in defeat.

lifting thumb and finger to her lips she lets out a melodic trill of a whistle, beckoning the swablu back to her side, letting the pokemon perch on her shoulders as their road block came into view.

a large slaking.

nani quickly makes note that they're standing downwind when a light breeze rolls by and makes her shield her nose.

sweet arceus this thing reeks.

yeah, the slaking does not smell particularly nice. even if he's smelled far worse, it does little to numb the odor that's oozing from this thing.[break][break]

she looks at him in disgust. appaled for even suggesting such a thing and scoffs sarcastically.

"maybe if i was noseblind and wearing a hazzmat suit." even then she wouldn't be pushed for it. still... they took the job and had to see it through somehow.

after a moment of inner struggle nani finally sucks it up and approaches the pokemon against her better judgement. with the foresight to wrap the fabric of her light scarf around her nose for all the good it does.

"make sure to breathe through our mouth." she calls back, eying their road block now at a closer angle. "this thing must weigh a ton."

which means her little blossom of an idea involving hauling to the roadside its moot. none of her team have the strength. "guh, i really don't want to touch it. maybe if we ask nicely."

nani looks back over her shoulder to dany.

"any ideas on how to wake it up?"
