As it was her first major foray into Ranger Activities, Amelia had readied herself for whatever lay ahead! She had been up since the crack of dawn, quite literally. A mixture of excitement and worry circled her stomach. Quite like the loop-de-loop on one of those high-speed rollercoaster rides.

Dressed in her formal Ranger gear, with the green badge pinned to her blouse. She had arrived at the Slateport Contest Hall, several hours before the event… or even before anyone was even there. As she patiently waited from the steps which led into the hall.

Amelia watched as people slowly arrived, some of them carrying or walking with Eevee or the evolutions of Eevee. Suddenly, she regretted not bringing her R-Suit to this event, so she could get more information on every single one of the Pokemon she saw.

Either way, Amelia jumped to her feet as her partner for this mission arrived. The more experienced and more skilled ranger that she was to be teamed up with, rather. Amelia didn’t really know much about them, and she had not been told much. Only to expect a serious attitude.

“It’s nice to meet you. I am Amelia. Oh, you already knew that, didn’t you. I’m sorry, a little nervous.” Amelia admitted as they walked into the convention. Her nerves are now at an all-time high.

After a second to steady herself, she continued. “Oh yeah, Eevee's are great. I get why they would be considered targets.”

Nodding her head in agreement with his statement and their task for the day.

“I actually have one of my own! I suppose it’s a little like your own partner.” Looking down at the little Yamper who stood aside, Tam.

Reaching down to her belt, she pulled out a Poke Ball, extended it, and threw it up into the air. It burst open, revealing in a flash of light, her own partner Eevee. It ran through and around her legs with joy, clearly excited to be out of its ball. It, then, ran over to Yamper and barked back at it in a friendly sort of way.

After scooping up her partner, who was quite happy to be carried in the young rangers arms. Amelia followed Tam down the row of stalls. Each one pack to the brim with Eevee and Eeveelution related merchandise.

“Yes, sir. This is my first mission. Before this, I did my training though. All the class work and field training needed to be a ranger who can benefit the region they work in.” Amelia said, a little too excitedly, nodding her head several times, causing Eevee to look up at her as she bobbed up and down, also.

Even though this was an official Ranger mission and she was supposed to be remaining serious, she couldn’t help but stare from left to right at all the merchandise on the stalls with a look of desire in her eyes. All of the stuff, she could have been getting if she wasn’t on duty. No, no! She had to remain serious and not let herself down.

As Tam asked her if she had any questions, Amelia literally paused to consider. Did she have any thing she did want to ask? Not really. But she couldn’t just leave it and say no. She had to think of something. Anything. Panicking slightly, Amelia jogged forward to catch up to Tam and blurted out. “So, Tam, have you seen a lot of action as a Ranger? I bet you've done some really interesting things?”
