Isaac had learned three things about legendary Pokemon in the past few hours. The first was that they could share their power through some sort of mumbo-jumbo to turn humans into their Avatars. The second was that, despite Rocket's reputation, the legendaries didn't care; there were Avatars among the team.

The third was that one of those Avatars had snatched him up for a mission.

Luckily for Isaac, this was the kind of mission he'd jump at the chance to take. He got to flex his cleverness and steal from the rich at the same time? And maybe even check out Slateport's night market afterwards? Sign him the hell up!

It was weird undertaking a Rocket mission in plainclothes, but when subtlety was key the mask had to stay pocketed. It was just too suspicious otherwise. Sure, now Isaac's face was in plain sight, but it wouldn't be a problem if they didn't get caught, right? It just meant he had to play it cool, play it smart, and play it just safe enough.

He waited at a street corner a safe distance from the casino, occasionally shooting envious glances towards the nearby night market. Damnit, why'd traveling the region have to be such hungry work?

He comes from the night market, no mask on his face as his public persona was still innocent for the most part. He meets up with the one who would be working with him for this mission.[break][break]

he had been partaking in some of the dango sticks from a nearby festival stand. Holding a 3 of them between his fingers and casually eating one as he waltzed right up to Isaac Merlo . "Sup." he said casually as Bryan was being extremely casual and relaxed. "So you're the one working with me?" he asked as he casually eyed up the casino. [break][break]

It was easy enough to do it on his own, robbing this place as no one could really stop him as he'd eventually just get back up on his own and his own pokemon were rather vicious. [break][break]

"So. You ever do anything like this before kid?" He asked despite the fact, unbeknownst to him, they were only a year apart.

Still, at least both of them were being real casual here. That always made it easier for Isaac. He was never the SIR YES SIR type, and power-tripping assholes were always the type to get his hackles raised. If the Avatar of Xerneas was incredibly chill instead of some deer lord with his head wedged up his ass, Isaac would take the win!

"Yeah, I'm your guy this time," Isaac replied. "This isn't my first rodeo. But, can't say I've ever checked out a place this big before." Okay, so when Isaac said that, he tended to mean more along the lines of, say, shoplifting. Or messing up turf for other criminal operations. Maybe, in the case of his Dhelmise, convincing Pokemon in bad situations that they were better off tagging along with him. But a job this big? Nope. Brand new to him.

"You want me to light up right now?" he said offering Isaac a chance to see Bryan's very peculiar skill set. [break][break]

But he had decided to quickly dismiss the idea. "Not yet, maybe if we need it I'll show ya what being loyal to rocket gets ya." he says teasing the man with vague promises. [break][break]

He offers one of the dango sticks to Isaac, noticing the man had been eyeing the food earlier. Bryan nods his head towards the casino to walk with him. "Yes, I am. This is how I got my start in rocket, stealing and getting into places I wasn't supposed to be. Started working out and got big, my pokemon got stronger and now im the muscle." he continues as he consumes another dango ball. [break][break]

"Don't worry, just be ready to split when I tell ya. Hard part isn't actually busting in, it's getting out." As they entered the casino, Bryan walked around looking at the various machines and games that people were entertaining themselves with. Bryan looked at Isaac, "You wanna play a bit before we start? My luck is pretty good if you wanna see who can win more." he asked while grinning wickedly at the man, he was being wayyyyy tooo calm about all of this.

"Didn't expect the Legends to care enough about this whole mess for that," Isaac admitted. "And if any of them, the patron of life? Seriously? Always figured if any of them took notice it'd be, like. Giratina. Or Yveltal." Cliche answers? Maybe. But the ur-renegade and the herald of destruction seemed like they'd be pretty down with Rocket's rebellious plans for Hoenn.[break][break]

Ah well. Theology class could join Rocket 101 and So What's Our Plan, Anyway? as walk and talk material. Isaac listened, flashing an appreciative grin and a quick thanks as he was placated with an offered dango. It seemed rather than separate big job and small job groups, some Rockets moved from theft to heavy duty outright. "Makes sense," Isaac said. "Figure whatever messes we gwt into, our Pokemon get stronger. Guess that's one perk they've got over us, huh?" No matter how much a cat burglar stole, he wasn't going to turn into an MMA heavyweight overnight. For Pokemon, that was literally what happened! Right, Litten?[break][break]

With how easily they walked in, Isaac didn't doubt Bryan's assessment. Though, was walking out really that much harder? Surely all they had to do was rig a few games and walk out before anyone caught wise.[break][break]

Oh well. His senior seemed confident at least. So confident that he was willing to hit some of the machines and play a bit. On one hand, that seemed like a risky idea. On the other hand, the siren song of Voltorb Flip was mighty indeed. Isaac pondered for a second, and then returned Bryan's wicked grin. "Fuck it. You're on!"

He smirked as he was closer to the truth than he realized. Yvetal was on their side, thanks to Adrian Malcolm. [break][break]

But that bitch Katherine Fairburne took Giratina with her when she left rocket and started working with the league and if there was anything he hated more than someone in the league it was someone who was a traitor. [break][break]

"Part one of infiltrating?" he whispered to isaac "Fitting in. No one suspects random customers who are playing to pull a fast one." he answers as it was really just an excuse for him to have some fun as he went over to the slots. He sat himself down at the table and gestured for a waiter to come over, giving him cash money "Whiskey, neat. Bring me a cigar as well, I dont give a fuck which one it is." he requests as he finishes chomping the dango. [break][break]

He sent out his grimmsnarl who he also ordered. "Go find out where the "bathroom" is. I need to piss." he requested but grimmsnarl instead began to wander around scanning the area and get to work. [break][break]

"Alright, let's play." he said as Bryan began to play the game.

[attr="class","skullbody"]Was Bryan's advice just a thinly veiled cover for fucking around? Yes. Was it also a really good idea? Yes. And only part of that was because Isaac, too, wanted a bit of fuck around time. It was a legitimately good decision to do a bit of blending in first, and what better way than to buy some drinks and play some games?[break][break]

"I'll take a whiskey, too," Isaac said. "And let's make it neat." Oh, you were on dangerous territory, Isaac! You're a boy that needs a little bit of ice in your liquor! But judging by the tiny little glance he gave Bryan's way, it seemed Isaac was trying to get a little bit of approval. Never a bad idea when on a mission with a higher up.[break][break]

He also made sure to give the server a nice, big tip. When the fingers started flying, nobody ever threw the first accusation at the good tipper.[break][break]

With Grimmsnarl hunting down the bathroom, now he and Bryan had a bit of time for messing around. After all, the card tables were right there. Be a shame if they spent all this time unplayed . . .[break][break]

Grimmsnarl returned to bryan and seemed to slip something into the man's pocket as he pretended to not notice. [break][break]

"Damn..you suck at this game.." he comments as he watched isaac play like absolute shit..or have shit luck. [break][break]

"Never mind, let's head out." he says as he starts moving to the bathroom where there wouldn't be cameras. Once inside he'd pull out a security card and hand it over to isaac. "Alright, ready? I'm gonna cause a big fuckin commotion inside with my pokemon. While I have security distracted and shit, you slip in and steal as much shit as you can." he asked[break][break]

"Any questions?" he asked curiously, wondering how the man would react to it.

How many times could a single man get a 10 on a hit of 12 before he went full Joker mode? The answer may surprise you![break][break]

Still, he wouldn't be the one going Joker today. Instead, he was the grabber, while Bryan was the distraction. If there was anything Isaac gathered about the beast from this little meeting, it was that he was anything but subtle. This would be putting the two in the situations where their abilities would be best utilized, without a doubt. Still, did a casino heist need to be this explosive . . .?[break][break]

Oh, who was he to question Deer God? Besides, he'd be lying if he didn't think working with such an explosive backdrop sounded kinda cool.[break][break]

"On it," Isaac said, a confident smirk spreading across his face. "Anything of particular value I should keep an eye out on? Or is this just like one of those game shows where people run through the aisles of a supermarket grabbing all the shit they can get their hands on?"

Bryan chuckled a little bit at Isaac's question. "I think the second option is the better one." he respond as Bryan goes into a stall in the bathroom to change his clothing as well as grimmsnarl had hidden it in his hair like threads. [break][break]

"Just make sure you don't take a hit if you can help it, Don't worry about me getting hit as I can take a hit but it's harder for you to heal yourself." he warns Isaac "Also, make sure to not look directly at me unless you wanna feel like you're in a war." he says before he comes out of the stall in his persona known as "wolf" to the public. [break][break]

And with that, Bryan cracks his knuckles before slamming a wall with his fist and absolutely shattering it. The patrons of the casino, still unaware of what happen to cause such sudden damage stared and gasped, the smarter ones ran. From the dust that had still yet to clear, Bryan leapt forward. His body beginning to shine in a blinding white light to disorient not only the crowd but the cameras in the casino as well. [break][break]

Normally, when a heist began, you killed the lights instead of hitting them. However, Bryan didn't seem like the type to do things in a very orthodox fashion. Besides, when you could glow as brightly as him, light might as well have been darkness! Man, machine, and Pokemon alike recoiled in pain as the light seared them right in the corneas.[break][break]

Even Isaac was recoiling, covering his eyes and letting out a pained shout. He stumbled away from the scene of the incident, looking every bit as dazed and confused as every other onlooker. The part that they may not have seen, especially with their retinas seared, was how he peered through the hand he was covering his eyes with and beelined right for the casino's backrooms.[break][break]

Acting![break][break]

It wouldn't take him long to get to where he was going. After all, Bryan had completely stolen the show, meaning that he'd be walking the path of least resistance. Slipping into the Employees Only area was fairly simple, and with his quiet footsteps and the haste of many security personnel to start mobilizing towards Bryan's location, working deeper and deeper through the complex wouldn't be very difficult. There were a few close calls, of course, but as a whole Isaac made a policy to duck behind the nearest corner whenever he heard footfalls charging down the hallways. It was just easier that way.[break][break]

That just raised two important questions. A) Would there be resistance still guarding the door his keycard corresponded to? And B) If there wasn't, what would he see as he dashed out to pop that door open?

People began to panic and scream as they realized what was going on. [break][break]

Wolf showed up again. [break][break]

"This Casino is mine now! EVERYONE OUT!" he shouts, giving the people who wanted to get out a chance to do so now. If they complied they'd be fine but if they stuck around too long, he couldn't really guarantee their safety annnd to just emphasize his point. His grimmsnarl began to smash some of the slots machines and using his hair fibers to comb through the wreckage to steal the coins that slipped out of the machine. [break][break]

meanwhile he'd also run through the machines, smashing them with his own fists and legs as he went beserk. Security arrived with their Pokémon, a Magnezone and a rotom. He wasn't pulling enough heat yet to make sure Isaac would be left unbothered yet. "Grimmsnarl!" he shouted towards his partner who turned and he touched his keystone on his ear. "Let's go nuts! TEAR THIS PLACE DOWN!" he shouts as the Pokémon suddenly mega evolved and started growing to a larger size with even more hair than before as the pokemon was now able to pick up the machines and actually begin to throw it at the security's Pokémon as magnezone's magnet pulled worked against him. [break][break]

The rotom set it's sights on bryan, attempting to paralyze him as he fell over from the electricity and he collapses. The security guard came over to him, trying to hold him down and cuff him but Bryan was already back up. His body naturally purging the electricity and he grabbed the security guard by his wrist and crushing it and breaking the man's arm and he set his sights on the rotom, sending out his liligant in her strange new form to deal with the pokemon. "Victory dance! Leaf blade" he ordered as she dashed towards the ghost lightbulb and made quick work of him. [break][break]

Reinforcements came, and he grinned. Isaac should be in the clear by now as it dawned on bryan. He hadn't come up with a way for isaac to tell him he was done.

[attr="class","skullbody"]Oh, god. The commotion out there got louder and louder by the second. Did Isaac say this job was gonna be a loud one? Correction. It was going go be a barbarian screaming one. Bryan was screaming. His Grimmsnarl was screaming. The authorities were screaming. It was anarchy, pure anarchy.[break][break]

If his job was to be quieter than all of this nonsense, he was passing with flying colors.[break][break]

That was only one of his jobs, though. The other was to grab everything that wasn't nailed down. Bills? Grabbing them! Coins? Grabbing them! Pawnable items offered up as collateral? Get on in the bag! The occasional bar of gold? Isaac wasn't going to question it when instead he could be grabbing it! Normally, a touch of subtlety would be ideal. Obvious crime lead to obvious searches, after all. However, in this case, the crime was already super flagrant. If there was already going to be plenty of hubbub over this, he might as well steal the biggest gets he could find.[break][break]

Soon, his sack was full of ill-begotten gains. His Shuckle, Sir Mixalot, had all of his berry-storing pores filled with precious gems as well. It was practically an entire second bag for him, and one that could adhere to him on his own instead of needing to be carried. Boom, massive increase in value, at the cost of minor sliminess. Now all Isaac had to do was wait for the signal.[break][break]

. . . Oh dear. What was the signal again? Perhaps a lesser man would wait for the nearest explosion. However, Isaac had another plan. He released his Dhelmise, the anchor floating at attention. "Dhelmise, let me know if our friend's done. You can't miss him. He's glowing bright and going nuts," Isaac said. With that, Dhelmise faded into the shadow realm, hurtling through the casino to beeline towards the main floor. Once there, it would patiently observe the situation from the darkness between worlds, waiting for a proper sign from Bryan to return to Isaac's side.

More and more and more numbers began to show up. [break][break]

Slowly it became too much for Bryan to handle as he began to Panic slightly as his Pokémon grew tired. Shit shit shit shit...where was isaa- Is that a dhelmise up there? WAIT ISAAC HAD A DHELMISE. "YO DHELMISE, HELP ME OUT." he yelled at it, his dhelmise was currently out of commission. [break][break]

He recalled his Pokémon and leapt into the air trying to reach the dhelmise to whisk them both away. "Get us the fuck out of here!" he said hurriedly as Xerneas was too far for him to bust them out of there.
