The world was ending. There was no way to leave Hoenn. No way for Jessie to take Kai, take him away from this place and bring him back to her home in Sinnoh. Maybe give him a better life there, one where he wasn't tied to crime through his mother.

But it was too late. The dome was closing.

Well, if the world was going to end, she was going to make the most of it. Just for her son, she decided. It's what she would want. She felt like it's what Niko would have wanted for him.

Jessie was wearing one of her floral bikinis, a pink color paler than her hair, but still matching. Meanwhile, Kai had little SHARPEDO swim trunks on, with matching floaties that had to be inflated as she set her stuff down on the sand.

"Let me put this sunscreen on you. You're going to burn to a crisp," she chided, her child squirming around and eager to adventure out to the water.

Once he was ready, his floaties on his arms, he began talking wobbling steps with Jessie's hand in his, his chubby legs too eager to get into the water. That made him run into someone.

"Oops. I'm sorry!"
