Garbage duty was probably not the most glamorous task one could ever sign up to do. You were essentially going through people's various wastes and just asking yourself to get sick or worse shifting through half eaten food wrappers and oh god that was toliet paper oh GOD ITS BROWN. Kazimir let out a silent scream as he shook his hand free from even coming an inch into contact with the thing and stepped over to the next pile, this one looking better with a layer of old clothes on top of it. Bathing suits? Some looked like it at the very least but he wasn't going to inspect them. He didn't need their smell to be anywhere near his nose!

"Yeah but someone has to do it! 'Sides one mans trash is another's treasure right?" Despite the gross situation he was in Kazimir was in high spirits. As stated it wasn't a glamours job but Kazimir would take anything if it meant going to the beach for whatever reason. Sure it could be cleaner but this wasn't so bad either. "Oooh see? I think I found something." Reaching deep into a pile of discarded soda cans and bottles his arm shot right back up with a shiny little bottle cap in hand as he showed it off to his partner for the job and his Pokemon.

"Been starting a collection of these and this one's pretty rare looking right? I mean I know we're supposed to find stuff for the League but there's no rule saying we can't keep cool stuff we find ourselves right?"

[attr="class","thread"]his optimism is admirable, really. landon can practically feel the enthusiasm radiating off the man as he shows off his new find. his croconaw takes this declaration with a reaction perhaps closer to what he'd been expecting. the pokemon hops from foot to foot as it lets out a cry of wonder. landon laughs to himself at the display.

"yeah," he agrees, out of habit more than anything else. he can't stand to oppose people. "i'm sure they won't mind."

he can't see himself wanting anything out of this, though the man's words can't help but make him wonder if he would find anything interesting. calder nudges at his leg, and he looks down to find his pokemon proudly brandishing a bottle cap. huh, he hadn't even noticed him leave his side. the croconaw looks from him to the man, his intentions clear.

"i think that's for you." he says, as the pokemon, still holding up the bottle cap, turn to their company.

His eyes scanned along the other trash for more little things that he could fit into his pocket and take away with him. Perhaps he would get even more lucky and find some loose pocket change! It was a long shot cause when did anyone just throw away coins? Drop them maybe but throw them away was a stretch. Maybe he could do a bit of junk dealing on the side and sell some old stuff here for his own pocket change. Wait that actually sounded bad given a second thought about it.

Suddenly his head perked up when he heard the other man speak and his words implied there was something needed of Kazimir. He could help but grin when he saw the Crocanaw hold out a little bottle cap to him. "Aw thanks buddy. Oh never saw this one before!" He took the cap and gave the little crocodile Pokemon a pat on the head as a thank you before rising back to the same level as he and his partner.

"So what brought ya out to do dirty work like this anyway? Dumpster diving's not for everyone y'know. Just didnt' have anything else to do today?" He was probably just recruited on the spot like Kazimir was, and at least the blonde saw a silver lining to this whole thing. The other guy? Now that was a curious story.
