Sootopolis. [break][break]

If she recalled correctly, it was a city of history. A city with a tie to history, or something of the ilk. As far as she's concerned, the history of Hoenn isn't what she was searching for. The mystical city, where history slumbers, she was told. In terms of Hoenn history. But seeing how the other regions were so interconnected, she, at the very least, hoped for something. She hoped that she could find a tie this place had with Sinnoh. Perhaps with Dialga or Palkia, most preferably. Or was she looking in all the wrong places? Hoenn was a foreign region to her, and the only reason she was able to make it to this city, in general, was because of her frog pokemon; 08. [break][break]

She thought that there would be a library in Sootopolis. What, with it being a historical area. She's slightly disappointed, at how there was little sources other than exploration where people have already been. Was this trip a waste of time? She liked to think not. For the time being, she had gone around asking the residents about the specific area. What she could do, where she could look, and the history behind this place. Unfortunately, all she could learn about was primal forms of the Hoenn legendaries, and that was about it. [break][break]

After her failure to gather sufficient data, she pulls a laptop from her bag and begins to type into it. "Lets see.. Dialga.. Palkia.." She grumbles softly, ever so gently biting the tip of her nail in irritation. She wsasn't going to get anywhere with this, unless she found someone who could tell her more about the legendaries. It was rare already to find someone who knew more about the legends in Hoenn-- nevermind in other reasons.

Another hot day in Sootopolis, with the sun beaming down on the city. Balder had been away from the city for a while, as he was looking for more pokemons to fill his team and help fulfill his obligations as one of the gym trainers of sootopolis. It hadn't been long since he had returned, and already he was considering either going for a swim or going away. How could people live in this crater and handle this much sunlight?[break][break]

As he was wondering what to do with his day, licking an ice cream he got from a shop nearby to try and stay warm, the young man noticed an unfamiliar face around these parts, bringing a bag with her. How could he tell she wasn,t from around her? That silvery white mane of hers. Except Olivia that had a hair color somewhat close to this lady's, Balder didn't know anyone that had that shade. But what could she be around for? Trying to finish ice cream as fast as possible without getting a brain freeze, the man started following the stranger.[break][break]

Suddenly, the beautiful stranger took a stop at what seemed to be a café and pulled out... Wait was that a laptop? Was she a researcher? Balder could only remember seeing these in Kalos and some developped cities and never really used them. Plus, the Alola region hadn't exactly followed the technological advance from his neighbors. As the giant got closer to see what she was doing, he heard her mention Dialga and Palkia. Weren't these two legends from Sinnoh? Why look for them here?[break][break]

He couldn't stay quiet anymore, nor keep on stalking. That wasn't his style to begin with. The gym trainer, having decided to meet with the lady directly, proceeded to catch up to her, standing close to her as he started talking. "May I know why you're looking for the legends of Sinnoh in a city of Hoenn?"

She wasn't exactly expecting to meet anyone of importance, here. [break][break]

Nevermind be stalked by someone. [break][break]

The weather was too hot, she wasn't about to get sunburnt - what, with how pale her skin was. Albinism was a curse, burning under the sun after a few seconds standing under it. Sootopolis was a living hell for her, because she couldn't walk out without her parasol and praying that the shade could cover her entire body. Sitting at the table, she begins to scan the screen of hers. It must have been odd fo anyone, that someone was looking for the legendaries of one region, in a completely diferent region. So much, that the man who stalked her was intrigued enough to approach her. Needless to say, she was surprised enough to nearly jump in her seat. [break][break]

Hannah lets out a soft squeak, holding a hand over her heart as a means to recompose herself. Bright, ruby eyes stare at the man who approached her. She needs a moment to register his approach and, on the screen of her laptop, were few pictures of what rare 'theories' of wormholes have appeared in hoenn. Looking over her shoulder and at him, she proceeds to take a moment and calm herself down. ".. Ah. That's a valid question." She starts. Her voice is flat, like someone had sucked the life from it - from her - yet it was mellow and oddly soothing for some all the same. It was a complete contrast to her earlier squeak of surprise. [break][break]

"There have been.. Theories I've seen online. From my travels around the regions." She points to her laptop, more to show him blurry pictures and what appeared to be theories that have been discussed on the internet. "Potential wormholes, where legendaries can stem from or appear." And she was, partially, betting on a change that may not even be possible. But if her time in Hoenn proves to be a waste of time, then the odds were that she'd transfer over to Sinnoh, in hopes to continue her research. [break][break]

... But enough of her. [break][break]

"... May I know why you've been following me?" It wasn't subtle - she knows a face after seeing it. It was the gut feeling you got when you were being followed and, after years of being on the field, she was no stranger to the gut churning anxiety. But, in spite of the question, she seemed anything but hostile.

The squeak she did was quite adorable, and Balder couldn't help but chuckle at it. As he was closer to her, he could analyse her traits better. A pale skin, almost a pure white in color, which explained why she had some sort of parasol with her. She clearly wasn't from around here... Maybe she came from another region? After calming down, the lady began to explain what she was doing. [break][break]

Well, the first thing she did explain is the theories she had found, and confirm that she had travelled other regions previously. And then she mentionned something called a Wormhole, from which legendary pokemons could appear. That sounded familiar somehow... Right, the events that happened at Mossdeep. Balder had heard of these events not long ago, and couldn't help but feel bad about the loss of so many lives, be it pokemon and civilians, implicated there.[break][break]

And then came an unexpected question. The lady asked why he was following her. "Oh so you noticed huh..." The young man moved to sit in front of her, feeling it would be better for a conversation if both were at the same level. Also, maybe she felt intimidated with him standing beside her like that. "Quite Simple really. Let's begin with the basics: I'm Balder Schwartz, I serve as a gym trainer here, and also security. Since you didn't look like a local, I decided to see what you could be planning. With team rocket everywhere, it's hard to tell what could happen."[break][break]

"Still, why are you looking into Dialga and Palkia exactly? If you're researching the wormhole thingy you just mentionned, as well as these two, it's because you hope to meet them or something right? Or that you want to know more about them and their abilities or legends for a research paper of sorts... Man that reminds me of that old lady I met back in Sinnoh, and all her legends."[break][break]

She hums quietly - yes, it was quite obvious. [break][break]

She initially uninterested - she didn't intend to approach the man, in spite of his not-well-concealed stalking, to begin with. His name wasn't important, but she committed it to memory for the sake of formalities and mannerisms. She knew that she was being followed, but she never expected the follower to approach her and speak up - hence her earlier squeak and near heart attack. She maintains a solid gaze on the man as he speaks, only to glance back to her laptop's screen shortly after he finishes. [break][break]

So he followed her, because she looked suspicious? On one hand she should commend him for being cautious. On the other, she felt like she should warn him from doing something like this in the future. She was less forgiving than she was indifferent - something that could easily be mistaken for patience or restraint - so she wonders how things would have panned out should she have been a more.. Troublesome target. It probably wouldn't have ended well for him. Hannah maintains that near stoic expression at his words, only nodding her head during his introduction. "Admirable of you." She responds with, short and curt. [break][break]

Hannah glances at him as he takes the seat across from her, crossing her legs under the table before leaning gently against the back of her seat. "Understandable" to some degree, if he hadn't been following her for quite a while. "My name is Hannah. I'm a researcher from the Almia region." which wasn't a complete lie. It was just easier to give him the wrong region, especially considering that he seemed to be on guard for.. rockets. Criminals, lowlives, thieves--[break][break]

Her.[break][break]

Ruby, red eyes glance back to the screen. "I am researching them, yes. For one of the professeurs at the university, there." A lie, but who would tell him the real answer? That she wished to meet the pokemon who governed space and time, just to bring back one person? Insanity. "Sinnoh is a historically rich region. I would also like to know the connection this has on Hoenn, seeing how this region appears to be the region with the most.. Appearances, as of late." Perhaps he knew about some of these? He, after all, seemed to be in Hoenn for much longer than she was. [break][break]

"Do you happen to know anything about them?"

A researcher from a far-away region... Balder had never visited Almia so it was hard to determine if she was saying the truth about having an university there, but there was definitely a professor there, since there's one in every regions to begin with. Also, the name Hannah... " That's a wonderful name, similar to that of a flower I believe." She then explained why exactly she was looking for more information on the legends of Sinnoh while in Hoenn, stating that appearances had increased here of late.[break][break]

She also proceeded to ask if he knew anything about all this. Balder leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes for a couple of seconds, remembering what he has heard since the beginning of his trip. "I haven't heard of the legendaries showing up in this region as of yet. But I can tell you the legends and information that I learned in Sinnoh, this could help in your research. Keep in mind that I learned that from a group of old ladies, so it's possible that the information is not 100% confirmed."[break][break]

The young man took a deep breath as he unfolded his arms. "Long ago, long before humans and pokemon existed, this land was said to be empty. It was then that Arceus, the god of creation, descended on this pure world and proceeded to create. From where the Spear Pillar stands currently, it began with creating 3 Servants: Dialga, Palkia and Giratina. So that the world can move forward without him, he gave dominion to his creation: To Dialga, he gave dominion over time. For Palkia, it was Space. Giratina was meant to govern Anti-matter, but was locked in an alternate dimension of sort since it kept seeking destruction."[break][break]

"Since Giratina was locked and could not serve to balance the powers of Dialga and Palkia, should something happen, Arceus created Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf to calm the divinities. After these main creations completed, Dialga and Palkia created the rest of the universe, allowing the universe to create life in itself. It was said that most legendaries were formed because of natural occurrences back in those times, but I got no idea there. After all this, Arceus created some relics that have been lost to humanity and retreated to a slumber in his own dimension. Dialga and Palkia followed suit, not interfering with the activities of each other."[break][break]

Balder took a brief pause before adding more information. "I'll skip the part about the creation of other legendaries and prehistoric pokemon that I heard, surely you know more about these since you're a researcher anyway. From what the ladies in Sinnoh told me, there are 3 points where one could attempt connecting with any of those deities: The Spear Pillars in Sinnoh, the Sinjoh Ruins in Johto and another location.... which is possibly located in Hoenn. But I got no information on that place sadly."[break][break]

"Thank you." Pearl pink lips curl into a soft smile (fake, she feels little in spite of her raised cheeks), her head nods in acknowledgement. He knew his fair share of information and, for that, she was grateful. The woman nods and smiles, patiently listening to his little ramble. The less she had to speak, the better, she thought. It meant wasting less time, and it meant getting more information while giving away minimal (ideal, she didn't need anyone getting into her business). She turns from her laptop, this time, to give him her undivided attention by shifting to face him entirely. [break][break]

He spoke of a lot - and it almost impressed her. Almost. It was clear that he had done his fair share of research, which she could respect. His words regarding Dialga and Palkia, from what she could gather, were correct. It was consistent with the other stories she has been told, in addition to what she's read. On the other hand, Giratina was always an interesting fellow. Some say they were banished by Arceus, some say they had fallen from grace. Some say that they weren't governed by anything, and they were simply born to govern that which was opposite of Arceus to govern what the god could not. There were many stories regarding the pokemon, and she could never help but to think that it was interesting. [break][break]

Religions had been formed by these myths and stories - stories of which she was inclined to believe to be true. [break][break]

She listens more, now regarding the three lake guardians. From what she could gather, the creation of both time and space made it possible for life to flourish, hence resulting in the deity pokemon Xerneas and Yvetal, who opposed the apparent benevolent power The stories she's heard from her travels in Kalos, that is. "I always found it fascinating, how history is intertwined with another~" she gently presses her fingers together, tenting them in front of her. [break][break]

She nods her head. The smile had grown since the beginning of his story and explanation (she was unsatisfied. She heard things that she already knew, hence it was a waste of time), clearly impressed with the amount of information he was able to lay out for her. "Mmn.. I'm afraid that what you've described were already stories I've grown familiar with.." she waves her hand, dismissively. "But that's alright. It relieves me to know that there are still some people who enjoy these stories~.." It was hopeless. At this rate, she wouldn't be able to gather any new information from the locals, as much as she was hoping for this. But..[break][break]

"Ah, you said you were a gyn trainer, yes?" Meaning that, she assumes, he'd be a relatively strong trainer. "If you stumble upon anywhere of interest in Hoenn, do you think you could let me know? I would greatly appreciate it!"

As Balder finished the story regarding the Sinnoh dieties, Hannah stated that it was interesting, how the stories mingle with each other. "It is. Yet there are some discrepancies here and there. Some stories do not mingle as easily as others, and some may also be oddities. Like the legends from my homeland." The young man took a deep breath after all that speech.[break][break]

He rarely spoke as much, giving so much information freely. Why was today different? Maybe he still doubted the lady and wanted to earn her favors. Or to have her leave the location as quickly as possible? Or was it because he was interested in her and the reason why she was looking for these legendary creatures? Balder nodded as the lady declared that, while she knew about all this, she was still happy to see people looking into the past so much. And then she suggested something unexpected: contacting her if he finds anything interesting.[break][break]

"Sure, I should be able to do that. Especially since I've been going in and out of town to meet with some people. But I'll need a way to contact you." Balder pulled out a cellphone from his pocket, ready to type in her information. That was, until he remembered something. "Right, there may be one thing I forgot about Dialga and Palkia. While they are not known to be appearing often in the past, it seems their rivalry towards Giratina might force them to come out. One of the religious lady in Sinnoh stated this: Once, a long time ago, a wave of darkness had tried to creep in upon this world, but balance was restored by the creatures that govern time and space.As danger had been adverted, the deities returned to slumber in their worlds, watching upon ours ever so faithfully. [break][break]

Honestly, this sounds pretty dangerous to do if your goal is to try and meet them, especially since it could lead to a catastrophe. But if you only seek knowledge, then I believe this piece of information would be an interesting one."
