He turns and he heaves, body shuddering as his head continues to ring. His bones are rattling within his skin and when he thinks he's done, he vomits again. Dazed, Kingsley stares at the pool of bile, vision creating doubles of everything. He stands, stumbling until he falls into the wall. Kingsley's fingers curl against brick and he sucks a shuddering breath in, stomach still uneasy.

"i'm not a child!" he clears his throat, and then deepens his voice. "i'm an adult."

kinglsey then does something that made priam wish he listened. then again, he was already sensitized not to react on accounts of violence.

the attack takes them by surprise. he doesn't know how she managed to hide her noivern in a populated city such as slateport, but she did. priam's espeon prioritizes defending his trainer than remaining his hold on the former beast. his psychic switches to exert force against the sudden boom burst. it repels the force, but the sound leaves priam's ears ringing. his arcanine holds his ground.

emma was gone right afterwards.

she was nice. perhaps it was why he had subconsciously just held her down instead of outright giving her the hurt. he starts to think of how he could have made the encounter end differently, but nothing comes to mind. maybe he should have believed in kingsley wholly.

not that it matters though. they were supposed to let her go anyways.

priam watches the other direction, unaware of what was happening around him due to the lost of his hearing. he only notices kingsley when he turns, ready to go home.

"hey, you okay, kings?"

his voice does not reach his ears. he's tempted to shout, but he knows not to attract attention in a location such as this. priam starts rubbing his back as if it helps in the throwing up part.

Priam's lips move, but Kingsley cannot hear him over the nonstop ringing. Heavy brows knit together and Kingsley cards a hand through his hair before he curses. He slams a fist into the wall, the pain sobering. He sucks a breath in, pinches the bridge of his nose, and turns to Priam. The usual content look of Kingsley is replaced by a barely contained anger.
