The fact that those guys were beasts always struck her as fitting. Sure, they were bureaucrats, but they acted like feral cats. They squabbled and sometimes struck out randomly. “That’s why I stay out of their way.” To be fair, these days, she tried to stay out of Rocket’s way. Maybe take a harmless job here or there, but she definitely dumped the Flavor-Aid. Her head dipped back as lightning cracked across the sky. A low attempt at a whistle forced its way out. Say what you will about this hellscape, but it was beautiful. His question drew a playful pout. After a second, that expression shifted to an easygoing smile. “Madd.” There’s a brief pause. Then, she snaps a salute. “I’m glad to have you aboard.” She pulls out her phone to look at their destination. The sooner she got out of here, the easier it’d be to fix her hair. It felt weird to take point on a mission. She preferred support roles, but someone had to plot out the way. Amber eyes settle on a dark shape in the distance. “Looks like we’re heading for Nostromo over there.” With a final nod, she swung herself back onto Cherry’s back. The girl’s height made it almost comical, her feet tucked in to avoid dragging on the ground, Again, another bolt cracked the sky. But it never turned into rain, That feeling of relief never came. With plodding steps, Cherry Bomb started forward. “Geek Squad wants its computer panel.” She didn’t ask what it was for. That kind of info just made this stuff worse.

When Jason had been presented with the opportunity to join one of these strange expeditions, he had jumped at it. While not an out-and-out member of Rocket yet, he was eager for any opportunity to prove himself as an asset. Did someone need a handful of stolen Pokemon held until the heat died down?
