she hasn't seen rustboro's gym leader since the vct tournament. with how he'd battled her that day, she was surprised to see he'd come out on top with the crown. but there's something to say about his tenacity, at the very least. those little frogs are irritating.

pixels manifest and the landscape rights itself into a butcher's shop. she looks to her right and sees a knife in her hand; before her are the limpid forms of nearly-dead slowpokes.

she looks to her companion through this simulated journey and says, almost regrettably, "looks like chopping them off gives a curio. i'm...still looking for some of them."

the slowpoke don't seem to register what they're doing and she's not sure if that's worse or not. her lip curls, but she doesn't squirm as much as cian. she's handled meat like this by the bucketful. her dragons require this and more.

when it's done, she wipes her hands on her apron; she doesn't bother tugging it off, knowing it'll disappear when the scenario shifts.

she glimpses outside and realizes she recognizes the street they're on. nameless is only a few - she starts, but then their shift ends and the pixels drain away.

she looks down at the device in her hands - a bomb - and looks back up at the man. she'd read reports about farhan, the information surrounding the kindlers that look after mt. chimney. she'd never met the man, nor any of his followers (if there are any) in person.

curiosity begets her. she puts the device down and holds up her hands in a piece offering, moving to aid him.

both of the dragons tower before them, eyes alight with their respective philosophies. the first time running through this, she had sided with truth so this time she abandons the white dragon and crosses the threshold to the other side.
