Sometimes, she does wonder why she keeps her classmates and old friends entertained, still - only because she has announced that she and her father will come over to Mossdeep City for a bit doesn't mean that she has to spend her precious time running errands for everyone else. It's dead in the night, after all! But the friend that just texted her did argue that she is pretty much the only one awake, urging quite dramatically about the importance of the errand and finishing it off with a voice message that makes her sound like she's dying and ... fine. Maybe Vespa does have a heart. "I'll fetch your stupid charging cable, fine ..." she mutters back to no one in particular, not even recording a voice message of her own as she only sighs. At least it should be easy enough since the friend also stated that the window would be open, whyever. She does not question the ill decisions of a barely grown-up brain.[break]

Slipping into a comfortable pair of sneakers and some loose, baggy clothings, she ventures forth into the idle night like that, her usual entourage with her as the Misdreavus is making her way out of the ball, snickering as she floats in the air.[break]

But ... well. The thing is. She can't see anything. She should have brought Nebel the Lampent alongside her for some light, but as things are, the streets quiet and forlorn from the events prior, only so many if anyone roaming the place at this hour ... Where did said friend say again that they live? Only the city sleeps, and she does not, as she smells rather than sees fumes of smoke emerging from ... Ah! A-ha! An open window! Now that makes sense, a sense of relief and recognition overcoming her. Vespa halts but for one moment, sending a little prayer towards whatever food got ruined, and just goes for the window, climbing through with the Misdreavus in tow. Now ... unfortunately, she does knock over something with her grand entrance and - looking around guiltily, tries to put it back just fine before hushing into the next room. Oh ... hopefully nobody is home? That'd be so embarrassing- nevermind, she hears a bark, and makes a beeline for what she believes to be her friend's bedroom.

there's movement. holy fuck, there's movement. kasper hears it rather than sees it, from their spot in the kitchen and the dark room, and they can hear the way zinnia's barks increase in volume, in ferocity, like he'd do anything but lounge wherever he is.

which means it's up to kasper, who was absolutely 100% not prepared for breaking and entering this night, to deal with this person. or pokemon. or both.

"i know you're there. i'm going to-" to what? their brain supplies, helplessly, that most people they know that could help them take care of this problem are likely asleep, and they're not sure how long it'd take them even if they weren't.

"i've got a knife." it's a lie, but one easily fixed, as they turn to grab one with one a few nervous half-glances at the entryway seperating them from the darkness of the rest of the house. they don't want to go out there. if someone really wants to break-and-enter, kill-them-in-cold-blood, then they're going to have to step into the light.

"my pokemon are- they're mean, too! they bite! and it hurts!" they try to force strength they don't feel into their voice, totally unaware that vespa has made a beeline for their bedroom. the bedroom sheltered zinnia; the arcanine, when vespa pops through the entrance, doesn't stop barking, but there's a telltale slow, lazy wag of his tail that goes entirely against kasper's words.

Oh crap. So this hasn't been a vacated home after all - well, not that it should bother her, since she has a reason to be here, but still ... she finds herself panicking and by will of panic, she hides rather than making herself known to the other, eyes wide as she disappears further into the shadows and into the confinements of the bedroom were somewhere, a charging cable should be ... But ... a knife? Oh god, did her friend not give a heads-up to their roommate, or whatever? That's so embarrassing to say, though ... Like, who would actually expect a teenager to get in through the window, for a charging cable no less? Like hell a group of phone addicts doesn't have a spare cable somewhere?[break]

But before she can fully commit to whether or not she wants to reveal herself, Vespa finally takes note of the Hisuian Arcanine in the corner - and immediately backing off to the wall, possibly knocking even more things off, should the room's resident have a lot in that direction. "Shit," leaves her immediately, quietly under her breathe, as she gestures for the other to shut up. At least it's not attacking ... at least that. But the Misdreavus is having other ideas as it flies even closer to the Arcanine, looking at it wide-eyed before snickering and pulling faces, hoping to further the other's barks. "Shut- let it be," Vespa can only hiss at the both of them, but to quite no avail.
