"Sounds fascinating." Willa grins a bit and re-crosses her ankles the opposite way so her legs don't fall asleep.

"Well, I'd love to go with you. I think it would be lovely... I'll have the get a new dress, I'm afraid I'm one of those people who can't be caught in a repeat outfit at big functions." She smirks and shrugs her shoulders. "But I get a new dress out of it, so I'm not complaining."

Willa smiles softly at the way he seems relieved. As if her sons approval means something to him. It’s endearing, and it makes her like him all the more.

"A Soirée?" Willa blinks and tilts her head, thinking for a moment. "I would love to, I would just have to check my schedule… I’m sure I can free some things up, though." She nods and licks her lips before finishing off her meal with a few last satisfying bites.

"What’s the dress code?"

If there was a hint of hesitation, Willa’s worries are soothed by the fact that he actually remembered her son’s name.

"Considering the way he was carrying on and making fun of me when I left, I think he’ll be fine." She laughs softly. She had nearly smacked him for yelling, "use protection," as she left the house.

Willa taps the curve of her wine glass with a manicured nail and thinks for a moment.

"And you’re okay with me having a kid, right? If… you know. We go on more dates. He might… answer the door or something." In other words, he’d have to interact with her child.

And already, and invitation to a second date. Willa smiles behind her wine glass and lowers it slowly.

"I'd like that." She agrees without hesitation, her eyes darting to their meal. Hers is almost gone. "If the cooking is as good as this, I'll date you 'til the miltanks come home." She grins.

Willa smiles across at him and continues eating for a bit in the quite, before leaning back in her own chair, sipping her wine thoughtfully.

"... Thank you, for this. For inviting me. I haven't done this in a very, very long time." She murmurs, taking another long, languid sip of the red liquid.

Her eyes widen, and she looks up from her dish to grin at him. "Dessert? You've made that, too?" She laughs again, taking another bite of food.

The breeze blows by gently and she sighs, closing her eyes. "This is... perfect."

As he compliments her, by dejecting himself, she shakes her head and smiles. "We are both lucky, Rory. We each offer something to this date."

Picking up her fork after she hands back the cigarette, she takes her first bite of food and lets out a satisfied noise. "It’s so good. What the hell?" She laughs softly and covers her mouth so she can swallow without being rude because she’s grinning. "This is amazing."

Willa smiles as he slides her his line and raises an eyebrow, watching him for a moment. When the cigarette is offered to her, she leans forward and just takes a drag of it from his fingers, leaving behind a light ring of lipstick — her puff delicate and deliberate.

She releases the plume of smoke and watches it curl away. "Guilty pleasures are always the best kind, I suppose. My son made me cut back, so I only have one once in a blue moon…" She smirks a bit. "Being on my first date in a very long time? I would count that as a blue moon situation."

"Only for emergencies. In my purse." Willa smiles softly and tilts her head, watching him closely.

"Are you a smoker, then?" She asks, crossing her legs. It's a silent permission for him to get her purse - to go into it. She doesn't have anything to hide in there. And even if she did, he's seen her enough times with wounds and broken bones to know she's not the best at staying out of trouble.

"Not a thing." Willa smiles softly, looking at all her specifications - but this was also for him, too. What part of himself had he put into this?

"What's something you'd enjoy that I can add to the atmosphere?" She gestures. "You have all my favourites, it only seems fair. This is your night, too." She smiles at him, sitting down.

As he points out the wine cooler, Willa nods and goes over to it, opening it up to grab some wine glasses for them. The wine she brought was a deep red wine, which would go well with the risotto.

"I love mushrooms. And risotto is delicious, so I’m sure I’ll love it." She smiles as she heads out onto the balcony with the glasses. Oh, he really did have a nice view. And the set up was pleasant… and he had even put a record on.

A man who remembers things; attractive as hell.

She pops the wine cork and pours the glasses to the halfway point, knowing full well that she would be able to drink half if not more of the bottle through the night.

Willa smiles and follows him into the kitchen, peering at the food that he's made, eyes going a bit wide. "You cooked?" She smiles and sniffs a bit, sighing contently.

"It smells delicious... I would have just ordered. I'm absoloutely rubbish at cooking." She laughs at herself before resting her hands on the counter. "That being said... Is there anything I can do to help?"
