"Hey! Wait, where are you going?", this was certainly the most bizarre conversation Eden had ever had. It went from all chatty to "goodbye" in no time. E was certainly strange, but his best shot at getting out of the forest. So he had to take it.

"Wait! Are you from here?"; without realising, Eden grabbed E's hand to pull him back. As E gently was turned, Eden noticed his forwardness stepping back, waving his hands up. "Sorry, it's just", the trainer started to look embarrassed to the side. "It's just I have been sort of lost for a while in this forest. So I was hoping you might know the way to the next city?"

All the excitement of E showered Eden. Never before had anyone shaken his hand like this—what a rollercoaster ride of an introduction! E reminded him of Psyduck, either hyperactive with 100 thoughts at once or none at all.

"Oh, the name! Well... actually Litwick thought of named itself. It would always draw pentagrams on the floor with its wax. Kinda spooked my grandma out... a lot. Hehe! So I figured why not call it pentagram", Eden said, continuing the banter of sharing. All of a sudden Litwick's candle flared up? Was something wrong? Focusing on the underwood, it was almost like Eden could sense something lurking in the dark. The stranger must feel it, too, as he zoned in on the forest.

"Weird, Pentagram? Is everything okay?", Eden ask to confirm his feeling.

Eden had not met many trainers before, but this one seemed rather odd. Probably one of these eccentric ones he saw on TV... The kind that would go on and on about their unique bond with their Pokemon and how they would be the nex champ.

"I am Eden, and this is Pentagram! Nice to meet you!", Eden extended his hand, not that his "new friend" didn't even bother looking at him. Eden wasn't sure about the trainer etiquette, would he have to ask him for a battle now? Surely he wasn't in the mood...

"What the ...ahhh", with the force of a wild flygon, a green hair boy flew out of the rustling bush. Totally shaking up by the unexpected appearance Eden and Litwick jumped up, his pokemon landing on his head. A spot Litwick always prefered. "Lit?", a big question mark wandered over Eden and Litwick's head before they leaned down to check on the fallen pair.

"Oh, I am really ....you scared there. Are you okay?", Eden crunched down next to the fallen green boy to check if it he had hurt himself. Judging by his clothes - he must be a trainer too. Maybe someone who was scouting the woods for new pokemon.

Only a few more miles, then we would finally reach Petalburg city. The past days had been exhaustion taking the air taxi to the Hoenn region, the land Eden had read so much about in his father's journals. He now needed to see it with his own eyes. First stop: Petalburg city, covered by vast flower fields and crystal clear lakes. In the journal, it was described as a "jewel of city", not to put expectations to high. Eden smiled, remembering his father's tendency to exaggerate. Swiftly he stored his map back into his backpack. It was late afternoon, and every bit of his body was longing for the comfort of a bed. The cold forest nights had left the young trainer restless, especially since an angry Shroomish had cut his last night short. The wild pokemon had claimed Eden's sleeping place for itself poisoning it with spores. An unpleasant event...

"Ugh... I where is this city? Why are these woods so endless", although Eden didn't want to acknowledge it... he was lost. "I am sure I have passed this tree... oh damn!", in his frustration, Eden slammed to the floor, leaning on an old oak tree. Sensing his friend's despair, Litwick jumped out of its Pokeball, landing on Eden's knees. His big bright eyes were burning along his wit: "Litwick, Lit?". "Yes buddy, we are still lost. Do you have an idea?", Eden asked before a bush next to them started to rustle.

Growing up in the misty flower shop of his grandma', Eden was surrounded by colourful plant pokemon his whole life. Eden's love for Pokemon sparked early on, playing hide and seek with her Sunflora or cuddling her Leafeon. However, tragedy also wandered into the boy's life early on. His Dad, the famous Dragon-Type Trainer Thunder D. Rain, had died in a storm chasing after a mystical Pokemon when Eden was only ten years old. Ironically, this tragedy would also bring a new light into Eden's life. In the many hours Eden had spent at his father's grave, he made his first Pokemon friend outside of his grandma's shop. A little Litwick started to peak up behind his father's gravestone whenever Eden would shed a tear. It didn't take long for the two to become inseparable. Spending many hours in the cemetery, Eden was introduced to a whole new world of Pokemon - the fabulous Ghost Types. Not much to his neighbours liking as Ghost Types were feared amongst most people.[break][break]

For his fifteenth birthday, Eden received a package from his mum, the famous Pokemon Researcher Camilla D. Rain, who sadly only rarely made it home. The egg was snow-white with an icy pattern. At first, Eden was scared that something was wrong with it as it never warmed until one moon filled night - the egg hatched, and an Alolan Sandshrew was born. Building his team, a desire burnt bright inside of Eden to explore the world as his father did and meet more wonderful Pokemon.[break][break]
