This time, he returned to the Slateport Pier before launching himself off its wooden deck. The water there was murky, sure, but his Dewgong was quick to ferry him downward and away from it as they dove past a forest of kelp. Eventually, they'd reach the ocean floor and scavenge...

Cade returns to the SAFARI ZONE before long. His time the day previous had run out, but he wasn't done harvesting the bounty of Pokémon from this private reserve just yet. He'd found traces of FOMANTIS earlier, after all, and seen MAGIKARP leaping out of the river several times.

In order to track and catch both of these pokemon, the one-eyed blonde summoned his LIEPARD, KASHA. She would scout ahead as they walked through the forest. The mid-day sun shone bright through the canopies above.

The little salamander appears OBLIVIOUS to their approach as it snacks on the carcass of some half-eaten insect. Having hoped to come across one of these, as its evolution was highly regarded as battle Pokémon, Cade pulls an empty ball out of his pack before sending Xiomara forward. In a soundless glide, she does so.

Then, at nearly point-blank range, the SALANDIT is struck with a POWER GEM. It is cast against a tree and tries, in vain, to blind the ghost's vision with a MUD SLAP. The move misses, however, and the creature is struck with Cade's empty ball next.

KASHA practically demanded that she join this. The LIEPARD was very prideful of her beauty, and loved to strut her stuff. Cade, on the other hand, wasn't so keen about the whole thing. On the other hand, the prize money he might win as a result of participating in it could feed him for a few months...

And he'd just bought a nice new pair of swim shorts, too. So why not show them off, right?

If he'd learned anything about models, it was that their job was surprisingly easy: just walk down a runaway and pretend the audience doesn't exist. Pretend you don't care. Look serious and take your steps confidently. Maybe add a bit of flair when you reach the end.

So he does just that-- his Liepard doing it far more naturally than he-- before attempting a pose that he only ever saw in a manga once. Who would guess that Cade Atreides read manga? And who could have guessed he'd pull off the pose as well as he did?

Something about his failure yesterday made him all the more determined to nail down the move today. With a name like 'Magikarp' in its title, he was oddly embarrassed to have fugged it. Though he was a strong believer in persistence, and was sure he could rectify that.

Again, he returns to the dock in the early morning to bond with his Mantine rental. After brief thoughts of buying this rental from the shop, he boards it and sets off to find a wave big enough to try the stunt again.

Cade turns to look at the kid vying for his job (Eris Halla ) with a raised brow. Was she... homeless? She seemed to dress like she was. Though, alternatively, the vagrants here were likely much different than the ones in his home region. Now that he got a longer look at her, she seemed to be more of a... pirate?

"E-Eh...?" The ice cream vendor responds, staring incredulously at the little girl for a moment before turning to the older blonde. "Is she your daughter, or something? Bah! It doesn't matter! Bring your third cousin for all I care! I'll give you each one snowcone now and one later if you get me to the other side of the beach!" He states, picking himself up off the sandy shore.

Sliding the metal door at the top of his cart open, the man urges them to look inside and pick a frosty cone for themselves. "So we got a deal, or what? Take one, take one! You won't be doing just me a favor, you know! That monster out there is a menace to society!"

Cade hums in thought, reaching into the cart and pulling out a blue raspberry cone. "You hear that, Captain Kid? Sure you still want to come along? It might be scary." He calmly says, calmly taking the plastic wrap off his treat and tossing it away into a black bag tied to the cart's handlebar. Sparing a glance at the LUXRAY there, he takes a nibble of his shaved ice.

A BULLET SEED from the nearby river sent Cade diving for cover. Splinters of wood from the tree trunk he hid behind rained down from above. Eventually, he's happy to peek out and see his Misdreavus appear behind the territorial REMORAID.

Xiomara dishes out some well-deserved PAYBACK, too. The little fish doesn't even expect it! In its panic, it leaps out from the water and lands on the bank nearby. Cade emerges out from his cover swiftly thereafter, casting a ball at it before it has a chance to bounce back into the river.
