i'm on the case of a strange encounter!

It was strange being in her mother's hometown as the two of them hardly visited, her grandparents were back home with her mother and they wrote to her from time to time. She'd met them before and they were kind though she wondered if her mother was alright, the two of them hadn't spoken in a few months. Izumi had been planning to visit here for a while but couldn't tell her quite yet, not unless she found something that would be an answer to their problems. As she rode a bike from the Mauville Bike Shop, and her Chatot flew next to her, she loved the atmosphere the place brought, welcoming and open though a bit dark as it looked like rain clouds were coming in right now. "I should make this visit quick, though who knows if finding dad will be easy..." She finally made it into the city and locked up her bike at the nearest Pokemon Center, luckily she could leave it there and not have to carry it around. Her first stop were a few friends of her father, but as she took out her notebook to walk around she felt as though someone was following her. It was probably just paranoia as this was a weird feeling for her, being her felt strange yet she felt closer to had dad than before.

Izumi jumped for joy as she had finally gotten the Pokemon that she needed, one that turned in to so many choices she would have a wonderful time studying it while at home. As she saw the Taurus in front of her she made sure to wave goodbye, she would catch something else another day, but today she was going to go home and have a relaxing bubble bath. "Let's go Chatot. Misdreavous." The two of them flew and floated next to her as she left the zone.

There was something she always wondered about her father, and most of it dealt with why or how he went missing, though her mother wanted to start a new life, she felt as though she couldn't give up on him. It was clear that there was something going on, and Hoenn had been through enough, and maybe one of them lead to her father going missing. Today, or whatever day it was dealt with her trying to find his Pokemon, they never returned so she thought maybe they could be there? She was curious to know if they knew something, and possibly lead her to him, or at least join her team so it could feel safe again. She was in the outskirts today and though that was a bit farfetched there was something, something she couldn't quite put her finger on that made feel as if this could be a good thing. She stood in the middle of nowhere, well not nowhere, but she had her notebook out studying the little notes she took about him. "Missing in the early morning, didn't come back with their Pokémon, and their last case was searching for someone in Hoenn, but the destination was never written down." She closed the notebook in frustration as she was worried this was all for nothing at times, though she had to do something, and finding him felt good. Her Chatot tapped her ear in response to another Pokémon showing up, in the corner of her eye she took a little peak, and then changed her their trainer appeared, asking a question that made her smirk. "I'm dressed to impress anyone I meet. Plus, as an inspector is what you called it, I have to be in these clothes...someone I know used to wear something like this too..." Her voice trailed off for a moment as though she was lost in thought, but her Chatot tapped her ear again bringing her back into reality, perched on her shoulder she gave it a gentle pat on the head. "How about you? Isn't it a bit dangerous to be out here, dressed so casually?"

It was hard being in a cave, dark, wet, gross, and smelly, but especially dark, the dark had an unknown and terrifying feeling to it that she simply couldn't explain. Maybe she felt as though her father was hidden away inside somewhere, simply waiting to be saved by her, but that was wishful thinking on her part. She hadn't found any clues to his location yet, or to the whereabouts of the Pokémon, he'd owned before he left for his last case, maybe she'd find the Pokémon here or something?

As she saw the man before her, she couldn't help, but feel like this was a terrible idea. Here she was in the dark when she could be at home. But she had to solve this case, and maybe the person in front of her was going to help her do so. Well, not directly help her but it seemed as though maybe they were the reason behind the noises, which she still felt strange checking out so late.[break][break]
Izumi felt a shiver down her spine as a drip of cold water could be heard behind her, this place wasn't what she thought it would be. "Look, you might be "helping" as you say, but the noise is disrupting others and should be done during the daytime.." She said in the calmest tone she could muster, she hated being here and it smelled like a wet dog, and she could just sense her shoes were getting dirty. "Pumpkaboo booo." The small floating pumpkin said, as it was clearly agreeing with its trainer, though couldn't outright say it since it was a Pokemon. "Besides, do you have a permit to be doing this at night? Because I am pretty sure that you aren't allowed to be doing this." Izumi was going to say whatever she wanted to get her out of this cave, even if it meant she might find her father, she felt as though she was going to be here a long time and was hoping to get out of here quickly.

Izumi gasped as she saw the Eevee come across her point of view, she wanted to catch this one at all costs. It was the exact Pokémon she had come to find and wanted to study the many evolutions, she was curious to see how an Eevee would evolve, or how they could do so right away. Evolutions stones were fascinating, and she couldn't help but take out a Pokeball slowly. She didn't want to scare the Pokémon away but knew that they needed to be knocked out first. "Misdrevous, use Psywave!"

As she walked past the dragon type she wondered if maybe catching it was a good idea, but she'd only come here for research and didn't think she'd find anything else but for now she was at least able to make a quick sketch of it. Izumi wasn't someone you would find out in the middle of the night, as most of her cases dealt with daylight, and that was something that made her feel safe. She was sure she'd never have to be outside when the moon was high, but tonight it seemed that someone requested her to look into a Pokemon. When getting the case, she refused at first, as it was just a worker who mentioned they'd heard strange noises near the caves, but she was pretty sure it was just some bats or a pokemon trying to eat. However, they wanted to pay her a heavy amount and she was sort of broke, so she took the case despite her...hesitation. She couldn't possibly do this on her own, so she of course brought her pokemon with her, specifically Pumpkaboo. They were good in the dark and this gave Izzy some form of comfort, but she couldn't be bothered to smile as she made her way out of her home.

She wondered if maybe telling the client that someone else should do it, but then her Pumpkaboo nudged her a little as it floated in front of her. "Hm? What?" She said with a frown on her face. Puu Puumpkaa!" It said to her in a soothing tone, as the holes in its eyes lit up, Izumi blinked twice in response, she'd only heard of a few Pumpkaboo doing this, but was glad that hers could do it nonetheless. A smile on her face as the two of them made it to Rusturf Tunnel. As she entered the small shortcut she only hoped this could lead to finding clues on her father's whereabouts.

She entered the cave and immediately heard a banging noise from far away. quickly rushing to see what it was all about, Pumpkaboo followed closely behind her. As she came across the noise it gradually got louder and louder till she saw an Agron hitting rocks, and some weird-looking guy standing somewhat away from the rocky terrain. "Hold it right here! What do think you're doing...I mean, s-stop hitting those rocks!"

"Oh wow! I caught it, but now another one has appeared?!" Izumi stepped back just a little bit studying the tiny bird, she was wondering if capturing this one would be as easy, so she threw yet another Pokeball. She didn't truly have to battle too hard so just throwing one would work, right? Her Misdreavous stayed out of its Pokeball in case it was needed, though maybe it could return, but Izumi wanted her around just to make sure. "Alright Missy, let's go past this one."

Chatot was surprised by the green gecko appearing before her, Izumi jumped at the shock as it stood before her and Chatot. She pulled out her notebook in order to make a quick sketch of the pokemon, and its intriguing tail. Meanwhile, the Chatot perched onto her shoulder, peering angrily at the green-looking thing, as Izumi put away her notebook, and pulled out a pokemon. "Misdreavus let's solve this case with a Psywave!" She said as she threw her own Pokeball forward, Misdreavus appeared out of the ball, launching a multicolored beam at the Treecko. She'd never seen one up close before, and refused to pass up the opportunity to strengthen her Pokémon at all cost.

Izumi had never explored the Safari Zone before, as most of her pokemon had just naturally come to her, or, well, not naturally as you'd think but enough to where she didn't always have to battle them to capture them. She was happy it had been so easy but today was a little different, she'd hoped to find some great pokemon, and add them to her team. But she was also a little nervous, this was her first time actually trying to find a pokemon without it being related to a case, she wasn't sure how it would go. She made it her goal to find the best addition to her team, or she'd have to come back another time and look again. On her belt she had three pokeballs, and on her shoulder a Chatot was perched on her shoulder, looking around for whatever pokemon it could find. "Ah...this grass is so tall..." She whispered to her Chatot, she didn't want to startle anything or keep something from jumping out.

This is Suzume Izumi, she is the daughter of a somewhat not so famous detective who used to find missing people, sadly he went missing years ago and now Izumi is trying to find him. So far she hasn't found any clues, but she is in the detective business and trying to help out pokemon who cause trouble for others. She would rather go by Izumi or Izzy if you are close with her and has a thing for taking the pokemon she helps home. If anyone had to describe her they'd say she is witty, calm, and charming, she has a soft spot for pokemon that look like food, and isn't afraid to say how delicious they look.

Her dream is to find her father, or maybe try a Slowpoke Tail whichever one comes first for her. At the moment she is investigating pokemon, and humans alike, but her specialty is NOT GHOST TYPE, she isn't a ghost-type trainer, don't ask her that or she'll wag her finger at you. She's easy to get along with as she has to talk to people all the time, she doesn't like pokemon cruelty even if she wants to try an ice cream pokemon, she'd never harm them in any way. She's never dated anyone before, so if someone wants to date her get ready for an awkward and eccentric girlfriend.
