This was a rather annoying situation that Makana had gotten herself into, she just wanted to take a shortcut to another town and now crazy stuff and hostile pokemon were popping up everywhere. With the Golbat taken by Drampa's Glare, plus her own team and that of the guy behind him protected by Safeguard. Makana knew she'd have to go on the attack "Drampa use Dragon Pulse" she declared and the goofy looking dragon opened its mouth and let loose a strong beam of energy.

Aimed directly for the rather large and hostile Golbat, knocking the thing back and into a slight spin. The Golbat wasn't quite done and just as Makana was about to order another attack, the thing vanished into nothingness. Makana raised an eyebrow but was greeted with a different foe as an Impidimp appeared and Makana knew enough to call back her Drampa, and pull out her Tsareena who flipped it's plant like hair upon arrival and looked disapprovingly at the strange pokemon before it.

"Stomp that pokemon, Tsareena" asked Makana and the grass pokemon nodded in full agreement as her foot came down with full force, the Impidimp hadn't quite realized what had happened and took the full force of the Stomp. Flinching at the attack, Tsareena followed it up with a Trop Kick as Makana had also suggested from behind the pair as her and the man were almost back to back but not quite touching but making sure that neither were snuck up on. The Impidimp went flying back into the darker parts of the cave, she was unsure if it was down or simple just lost like whatever happened to the Golbat.

The older man's response confirmed what she thought was going on, she'd been briefed on these things during a meeting at Rocket HQ. Team Members were expected to look out for them as they could be quite dangerous, and often had very hostile pokemon inside some of which were like the Golbat that had appeared between the two people, were quite large. Makana had jumped back as soon as the Golbat made its appearance, her natural athleticism made it fairly easy for her though the screech really didn't help her ear drums all that much.

But she wasn't going to be taken out by such a move and threw out her Drampa, since the other guy was busy trying to find off a newly arrived Skorupi. "This wasn't how I expect my day to go" mused Makana out loud. Her Drampa popped out of its ball and surveyed what was going on, raising one of its strange yellow eyebrows at the large Golbat in front of it. He wasn't scared by the thing as he'd faced larger pokemon before, it was hard to be scared by an Alpha pokemon when you've faced things like Wailord's before.

"Use safeguard, then follow it up and try to use Glare" expressed Makana to her pokemon, the Drampa nodded and enacted the move Safeguard to prevent the use of status effects on her pokemon and since they were basically double battling. The man's Onix was also now protected from whatever the Skorupi might fire at the rock snake, at least in regards to status. The Golbat didn't seem to register the Safeguard all that much but it definitely noticed Drampa, even more so, when his eyes started glowing and he attempted to target the Golbat with his potentially paralyzing Glare move.

Makana was on Route 121 in order to do some exercise that wasn't water related though honestly sure preferred water. She still knew it was good to get some work in on land as much of what she'd have to do might involve land based stuff, despite always putting her name down for the water based activities. But she hadn't quite gotten far enough up the totem pole to really make those kind of choices and be taken seriously, despite her insistence that it's her element.

As she rounded a corner, a taller man almost ran into her. And honestly sounded uber creepy to her when he spoke. "This bitty thing, can kick your arse. If you're not careful with your words" responded Makana who honestly was a nice person most of the time but had a slight pet peeve with those that like to insult or play stupid nickname games with people they don't know. She couldn't help here size, her continuous athletics in conjunction with her genetics made her this way.

Worst yet, the guy had one of those Galarian accents that sounded more at home in one of those stadium fan tussles she'd heard about. Where fans went crazy either after a loose or even a win but she wouldn't make that comment as it wasn't very nice, nor was it likely accurate and simply just her flight or fight brain activating. "Watch where you're going next time, would ya" she retorted.

The island girl in Makana didn't really like being in places like caves, at least ones without water. Sure it was cool enough and not steaming hot but just being away from the water for the Swimmer was meh at best for Makana. But she was here anyway as it was quicker to make her way through to the next town then it was any other way, thus she thought she'd have an easy ride. But like the rest of her life, a good thing always seems to follow with a bad one and sadly she'd gotten used to it.

Something strange was happening to the sky and there was electricity everywhere, she even got zapped here and there. Thankfully she hadn't been swimming lately and wasn't a big target but given her attire, it was hard not to get a little toasty. As she was walking, she saw someone else. Makana wasn't sure what was going on but remembered some meeting at Rocket HQ that mentioned something weird like this. The other person was a guy who seemed relatively stoic given the situation so she made her way over.

"So ah, do you know what's going on. I think I heard about these things but I don't know much about it" asked Makana looking lightly uncertain about the whole situation, sure she'd been trained by Team Rocket as well as martial artists but it's hard to train for the breaking time, space and dimension. She sighed slightly and wondered what was going to happen, it wasn't widely known the full consequences of these things or at least that's one of the things she remembered hearing about it.

Makana had seen plenty of Sharpedo teeth in her life and even had some collected from her time as a Swimmer, none of them were especially lucky for her. Sure she'd made it to the Elite Four of her home region but then other things happened, that she could have really used the luck for. But almost all of her stuff sans her clothes and pokemon were all back home, probably in the trash, sold off or taken by the cops but they weren't with her currently. But even she understood the need for a little extra money and how easy it is to dupe tourists and even some locals about such things, so she'd come out to grab some for some extra dough.

She was currently in her one piece swimsuit that she usually wore, having taken off the crop top she often wore over it if only to look passable to those around not used to the Swimmer class. In a bit of silly fun, her Tsareena had actually grabbed it off of her and started wearing it. So in retaliation plus in order to store the thing, Makana recalled her Tsareena and both the pokemon and her crop top went into the ball. With her now was just her Mareanie, swimming alongside her as she easily swum through the water like she was a Water pokemon herself.

Makana would dive periodically in the shallows and come back up with teeth that had fallen or broken off in some fight, though there was very few found in this way. So she started swimming out further and noticed a lady on a Lapras, as she popped out of the watery depths. Makana waved as her Mareanie floated along side her, they weren't all that close in distance but close enough that the lady should notice the Swimmer and her mon. Makana continued to look for Sharpedo teeth or even the pokemon themselves, though she wasn't really looking to catch one but a small fight might get her some more teeth.
