Normally, Miranda was the sort to be more suspicious, to be less likely to accept this kind of charity but given how she'd hit rock bottom the other day her willingness to do things beyond her regular scope had broadened - widely at that. "Sorry to intrude." she said, practically accepting the offer as she walked behind him, following him into what was at least a properly furnished office. "Thanks... honestly I'm not in a position to make demands, food is food at this point." she hooked up her phone to the power outlet, watching the green indicator and that lightning symbol blip into existence. At least it wasn't cold, she rubbed her arms and went to the faucet, giving him a look as she asked him. "I can wash my hands here right?" she indicated the sink, knowing some folks were touchy about that. With his consent she'd do just that and once she was clean enough, she'd go to the cup noodles, pouring water into the paper cup before plapping it unto the microwave and setting it to cook for two minutes on high.

As the microwave spun she sank into the chair, sighing, eyes looking around. "Sorry for the bother, I'm sure you've got kids to give candies too once they swing by. I'll finish up the meal and just bolt right out the door as soon as the phone's charged." the way she spoke made it sound like she was dead inside, which probably wasn't that far from the truth.

"I'll make it up to you when I can, Mister." she didn't know his name. "Miranda." she introduced herself, nodding slightly, taking off that hat. "Miranda Walker, I'm a bit of a troublemaker but yeah, thanks for putting up with my shit."

The girl certainly looked way too old to be trick or treating, but she at least hat a witch hat that may or may not have been picked up from the street or plucked from the head of a real child. "I guess," she said, holding open a plastic bag. It was pretty strange for a girl her age to be trick or treating, but stranger still was how she had a second plastic bag on hand and how this one was actually halfway full. There was a lot of chocolate there, candies too but something was clearly off. It wouldn't take a detective to figure out that the girl was some kind of runaway - but there were some weird things here and there too, there were bruises on her arms and legs, a bandage by the side of her chin. There was a story there clearly, the arrogance she might've had initially wasn't visible after being forced to live from day to day like a vagrant. "I heard you were giving out pumpkin bread or something on top of candy." she told him bluntly.

"Think I can have some of that too?" she hastily added. It was hard to say if Miranda had a sob story, but there was probably a story there - just not one that'd paint her in good light. She was a girl that was dealing with the karma of living like a bitch these last few years and retribution sure was biting her in the ass hard.

"And yeah, if its fine, can I like, use your outlet over there?" she was pointing at the power outlet that was illuminating the LED pumpkin lights. "Just until I get to full charge." the phone in her hand was the latest model from what it looked like, but that didn't add up considering how broke the girl looked.

"What?" Miranda blinked at the question, but she went to her phone, tapping the buttons as her Gengar seemed to be running away for dear life, avoiding - or at least trying to avoid - the stream of fire that was coming its way. "I haven't, I just like, was told it would do things on its own."

"Oh wait, my Gengar is a guy? I actually wasn't sure, I guess you gym leaders know your stuff huh."

The Gengar actually left the fighting area, it probably meant the the duel was over - at least unless Miranda could pull out her other pokemon. "So like, can you tell me how I'm supposed to use Gengar?" there was a certain level of competency a trainer should have, but if there was a scale from one to ten, Miranda was probably going to dip into the negatives with just how crass, careless and ignorant she was proving herself to be.

"I have another Pokemon." she said, holding up a spare pokeball. "I dunno how to take it out though, I think there might be a password on this." or was there? Probably not, but Miranda would much rather let people figure things out for her than have her commit to putting effort into doing so. "Here." she tossed the spare Pokeball to Lune. "Can you check what's going on for me?"

"Hell-Oooooo-" she screamed from the sudden interruption, unable to even bring her usual snark into play as the fear of god - and fire - was forced unto her by that explosion that totall'ed the wandering Pokemon. "What is that?! What did you do?!" the girl spat out the candy in her mouth as she saw burnt, black grass.

"Dude..." Miranda was surprised by the sudden explosion and she leapt away by instinct, holding her hands up protectively over her face. She leaned forward, squinting at the charred creature that had been attacked by the other trainer's Pokemon and she stepped forward, a look of disgust coming from her face as she sniffed the smell of smoke in the air. "Dude I think you killed it." Miranda told the other trainer bluntly. "That's not even like medium well, its well done."

"Think this tastes like chicken?" she asked, ignorant of the other pokemon that was lurking near her. "Dude... why is your pokemon dragging the other one here?" and then it clicked in her mind, Miranda grabbed her Gengar, embracing it. "Your Pokemon isn't like, cannibalistic right?"

"Okay, Lune it is. The name's Miranda." it was like the words sailed over her head, the older girl was even tapping at her phone as she was talking, clearly more interested in the news feed she was getting than the freaking battle that was about to commence. "Environment, wait, dude I didn't study for a test. I dunno all these things about, using the environment and stuff. Can we like, just get to the action?" Miranda followed the little girl's footsteps and it certainly didn't take her long to reach that

"Yeah, sure." the girl twirls her lollipop whilst keeping it in her mouth, her words slurred by the melting candy as she picks up her pokeball and tosses it on the grass. Brilliant crimson light erupts from the tip of that ball and a vaguely humanoid shape comes out of it. "Gengar, like go do stuff."

When her pokemon looked at her in confusion, she blinked and turned her gaze towards the gym leader. "Yo, like... my Pokemon isn't moving." she told the other trainer in a blatant show of her ignorance. "Like, I thought they just did things automatically?"

"I'm pretty sure I fed Gengar." she added hastily, to at least reassure the other person that she was a human being. Just not a very good one by most standards. "Is it broken?" she asked Lune, eyes growing wide.

Oh man! The little gymleader was some twerp! This had to be easy! With a smug smile on her face, Miranda stepped forward, her gaze falling on the girl before they drifted back to her nails as she looked at them from various angles. "Yeah, yeah, I'm like... here for the badge." she rudely muttered, clearly disinterested, as if she had already won her battle. "So like, how do we do this? Like, do we just fight?" Mirana pulled her lollipop out of her mouth, pointing it in the direction of the small 'creature'.

"Or are you just the assistant or something." half-hooded eyes looked around the place for somebody who could pass off as the gym leader. "Are you the gym leader?" there was just no way, the brat looked way too small. Girls her age were better off playing make-believe games with her friends at a playground than dealing with animals.

This couldn't possibly be right, she was expecting some fat nerd, not a tiny girl. "Wait, you're not some lost kid are ya? Cause like, I don't have time to waste kid."

Miranda didn't even know the first thing about catching Pokemon, but it wasn't as if that was going to stop her! If these people could do it, she didn't see how she could fail at the task. At her side, she'd elected to bring Gengar to hunt down new members for her team - granted, she had no idea what she was doing.

Clicking her tongue, the former heiress strutted through the beaten path, marching her way through grass with an ill-mannered expression on her face. "This sucks." she groaned, already whining one hour into this thing. "The guide said I'd find pokemon here so why aren't there any?" she was gnawing on her thumb, pinning it between her lips as her eyes darted to some model-student looking girl.

"Why the heck does everyone here have to look so damned diligent." she muttered under her breath, already annoyed that there was going to be competition. "God! Can't I just get a break for once." she complained, even though she'd practically had that 'break' her whole life.

Miranda Walker is the spoiled daughter of a business magnate. She's simply put, a rotten bitch used to getting everything she wanted. She's very selfish and gets frustrated easily, however now that she doesn't have a blank check to live her life on maybe she'll grow up?

"Pretty sure they bribed the school principal to let her move to the next school year."

Her exile from her family's estate is the topic of gossip and has even slid into a tabloid or two. She's known for being the black sheep of her family and her brother who's taken over the company since their father went into a coma was a rigid, disciplined model student in his youth. He's had enough of Miranda's sloth and intends to set her straight or cut her loose.

"Your assessment is... poor. How do you not know how to use a pokeball at your age?!"

A girl who was given exceptional pokemon but lacks the skill to utilize them properly. At the very least, it seems the girl at least cares about the pokemon and doesn't treat them inhumanely. The same can't be said for her interaction with people.

Miranda is exceptionally sheltered. Her posh, private school and the security guards near her had given her a sense of security she now sorely lacks. She's never met these people but she has to admit, with nobody watching her back, she's afraid of running into them.
