CONCLUSION

THE ICE SPREADS upon contact. it starts with gabrielle black’s hand but inches down her fingers and into her palm. the inclusion of Yvaine Varron’s jacket provides relief in more ways than one. aside from warmth, the clothing provides a conduit for the ice to eat up, as opposed to the rest of gabrielle’s hand. the once malleable fabric becomes rigid as the ice gives it shape and integrity.



“pi?”

the MELOETTA continues to stare at the glass portal they came through. when nothing else happens, it look at wolfgang volkov and then Yvaine Varron.

“pi!”

suddenly, the whole room seems to be pulled by an invisible force. light, colour, and physical space tear into zooming lines around your eyes. your body is shunted forth. it feels like it stretches and twists into some nucleon tube.

flattening.

in a disorienting swirl, briefly, your body feels as if it is compressing before the world expands around you like a spring bouncing off a hardwood step.

everything reorients itself back to normal as you find yourself in the same room. nothing seems to have changed despite the phenomenon.



“melly~ get back here!”

from within the planetarium, the CURATOR steps out. she stares at Locke Jamison, who has her MYSTERIOUS DEVICE in hand.

“we shifted too early! we need to go back.”

behind her translucent visor is the look of sheer panic. she immediately commandeers the computer terminal, replacing darktriad.exe with '820.dll'. the room starts to vibrate once more.

“melly! get ready!”
