Bryan was the rocket expert on the subject of death. [break][break]

It's the pokemon." he states as the bottom of a whiskey glass gets to greet the sky as the liquid inside goes down his throat, burning him in a delightful way. "Human's call places special, but if the tree of life taught me anything, any place can become important with enough care." he says as he follows behind Barnaby. [break][break]

The tree of life, the one growing right now in foretree, was a beacon to his logic. The old one had been destroyed, ravaged by a demon spawn of this world but someone life found a way to return. Despite the fact it was just a sapling, it only needed time which he had plenty of time. [break][break]

"Xerneas and I don't really need to return to a place to rest when we're injured. I've been shot in the head, stabbed, spine broken, burned, limbs ripped off." he says "But what makes me return every time is xerneas's ability. not the tree of life at least. I doubt chimney is difference, just the means to an end."

That wasn't really the response he had expected from anyone now a days, despite no one really knowing or fully understanding what exactly an avatar was besides just being a legendary's bestie. The promise of power alone was enough to lure people it. [break][break]

A loud crash comes from the cafeteria as Bryan rushes to the door, spotting ghost pokemon running amok inside. "I knew it, you fuckers are causing no good here." he shouts at the pokemon that all stop in their tracks and stare at him before unleashing a barrage of items at him. He tries to punch several, smashing them with his super strength but a couple objects and utensils jab themselves into him causing him to bleed as he cries out in pain. [break][break]

he pulls a fork out of his thigh and Sage would be able to see for himeslf how bryan's body would begin to heal quickly as he grabbed his pokeball and lobbed one at the ghost. "Leaf blade!" he orders as his hisuian liligant emerges and slashes a misdreavus knocking it out, there were still more ghost pokemon in the room.

There were no footsteps to alert Zev in the battle, only a rustling of various briar thorns as the seemed alive and pulsing with life.[break][break]

However, eventually he'd hear something as Bryan drops from the briar thorns in the roof and grabs onto Zev's head but instead of headbutting the man, Bryan uses all his weight to drag Zev's head down and slam it into the floor as he slinks back into the briar thorns and tries to escape again unless zev had intervened.

Ah yes, this fighting with care shit. Bryan hated this, he had longed abandoned that fighting style and his super strength would have made it more difficult to do. So he'd sit out himself but his pokemon on the other hand. [break][break]

Missing stars? Or was that this universes' constellation?...he didn't want to think the worst, but the hairs on the back of his neck stood on edge as he remembered the look of hunger on Chu-e Choi's face. [break][break]

There was no way it was eating stars was it? It absorbed energy...were stars made of infinity energy? Or did it just consume whatever power source it could? No, no. just because light was vanishing didn't mean necrozma was involved, however it was certainly a conversation to have with Zev Harcourt later. [break][break]

Jayden snaps him out of it, issuing an order and a plan of action. He visibly shook his head as if waking himself up as Xerneas watches him carefully. It was one of the few moments his chosen was paralyzed with fear. "We're leaving. There's a thread." he tells Xerneas as the pokemon does not even respond as he was just curious to see how things would turn out. [break][break]

He tree strides again with Xerneas in tow as the pair of them suddenly fly out of the tree projectile shooting themselves outward. He recalls xerneas for safety into his pokeball as he begins to plummet over the stadium as he activates his Z-MOVE for grimmsnarl. "MEMENTO MORI!" he shouts as the grimmsnarl temporarily mega evolves during this z-move and his tendrils of hair grip onto the venasaur and begin to sap it's energy. Bryan grabs onto the grimmsnarl and holds on as grimmsnarl uses his other hand and latches onto one of the branches of the treelines. [break][break]

Grimmsnarl begins to drain the venasaur and sends the energy into the trees as if trying to strengthen the energy of the land tainted by the trees. [break][break]

He prayed that Jayden or someone else would help him stay secured as he was stuck hanging in the air between the dynamax pokemon and the massive branch he was holding onto. [break][break]

The attack seems to have pushed him back successfully again, but would it matter in the long run? As Zev was about to show him as the man recovers quickly and catches him off guard. Was he already so quickly adapting to the situation? Bryan had to throw him off and make it more difficult for him lest he'd prove Zev was better than him. [break][break]

He couldn't allow that, his position of power would be threatened. [break][break]

Bryan is sent careening back as he wasn't able to block the attack. He lands on his back, but he holds off on a moment, spitting out blood as he laughs a bit. "Damn, it's been a while since I've had to try hard like this." he says standing up and spitting out some blood onto the floor. [break][break]

"Looks like im gonna have to get creative with you differently than I did Elisabeth Fiorelli. Consider this a compliment." [break][break]
He says as the ground begins to shake and the floor splits open from where Bryan spat his blood, as if a sacrifice to a higher being. "Black Briar." he orders as Xerneas could feel bryan's desire and summon the tree from a distance as Xerneas watched on from outside the building. [break][break]

However, Xerneas holds back his power as he did not seek to destroy the room. Only a mere sapling emerges in the center but it was enough to strike at Zev and encase the room in briar thorns as Bryan laughs wildly and melts into the thorns. [break][break]

He bided his time, moving within the plants to strike at Zev from his blind spot.

Bryan grimmaces in pain as he sees his fist slam against the armor, a crunching could be heard as Zev is sent careening backwards into the mats on the training facility's floor as the man seemed apparently unphased by his attack. Bryan raises his hand as he grimmaces and shows his broken fingers. However, one by one, they start to move unnaturally, Zev would be able to hear the bones crack and shift back into place as they forcibly returned to their original positions [break][break]

He shakes his hand for good measure, checking to make sure nothing was going to fall loose. "They're fine." he says as he laughs a bit to himself as it seemed like he would have to adapt to the armor's durability. He was surprised at how well it held up against his strength as he had gotten used to things becoming shattered and destroyed when he applied enough pressure.[break][break]

He adopts a different stance, charging at Zev once more, but instead of a fist colliding with the man it would be Bryan's open palm as he did his best impersonation of a hariyama's strike.

"Originally, I thought it was my duties as Xerneas's avatar to come here and tend to this place, but it seems like even he did not fully know what this place was." [break][break]

He kicks some of the dirt around for a second as Xerneas stares intensely at Zev harcourt, sensing something sinister lurking inside of the man and for once, his expression changed, to one of disgust. Bryan notices it but Xerneas turns away looking at the series of islands in the sky and Bryan makes no comment on it, already knowing why.

Mint was eager to jump in and help out Bryan despite the fact that he had no healing Pokémon. Which, if he had just wanted to cop a feel, then he just could. But whatever at least he was getting patched up faster than if he was allowing the wound to heal on it's own. [break][break]

However he couldn't rest for too long, there were things to do. As soon as Mint was done, John Sullivan 's voice erupts from the crowd and begins to spew those weird scales. Bryan braces himself, reaching for his pokemon to use heal block...but instead of harming him, the scales were accelerating his healing even further. [break][break]

He pauses, he was going to attack the leagues who had come here to wipe them out...but with this bigger threat looming on the horizon, he instead decides to at least return the debt he just earned from the league. "Fine. A ceasefire." he says to himself as there was a lot going on. [break][break]

He observes the others using PSYCHIC MOVES to battle the hands and that they were effective. "Xerneas. Bind and destroy them with Psychic!" he orders as the pokeball pops open and Xerneas unleashes a wave of pink energy from it's body and begins to try and destroy the hands with PSYCHIC. In the meanwhile, Bryan spots the observatory high in the treeline. "Xerneas, we're moving to a better vantage point for fighting." he says as he grabs onto the tree that the observatory was attached to, ascending quickly parallel to the mushroom staircase as xerneas also tree strides with their avatar abilities. [break][break]

"Don't know. But if my hunch is right, that garden needs tending to." he says as Bryan recognizes the bridge to that place he went to before. The last time he was there it was in a state of disarray and he could only imagine after being unable to care for it for so long that it returned to it's previous state, but now with Zev here... An ominous wind starts to carry them forward as Bryan realizes it might not be enough for them to get there. "We need to go faster. Geomancy!" he calls out as a pokeball was thrown and xerneas appears, Bryan mounts onto the stag and extends a hand to Zev Harcourt to grab on as Xerneas begins to shine with a blinding light and rush down the rainbow bridge as the ominous wind continues to push them. [break][break]

"It's a place where Shaymin live. A garden there where their flowers grow. Their home."

However as zev put a name on the white stone, Bryan stares. His reacted faster.....great, was he fucking looped into this shit too now? He looks at the stone, then he looks at Zev, then he looks back at the stone. "God fuckin damn it." he sighs as the plants he said were stubborn began to be stubborn and insist he responds. [break][break]

"I already did this shit but fine." he says as he walks over and wills her name onto the stone as big letters popped up onto the stone. "SOLEIL DELAROSA." He glances at the other name on the stone. "I won't ask about yours if you don't ask about mine."

The hairs on the back of his head stood up on edge, exactly like the sharp crystalline glass he was staring at that covered zev's body. [break][break]

To Bryan, it represented something that should have become foreign to him. Death. [break][break]

But Zev seemed to have full confidence over his ability to control it, did he have better control of it than Chu-e Choi? Were they like Killian and his strange creature? Did they just sync up better and lead to an evolution of sorts? It could explain Why chu-e was so hungry as he had to eat more to keep their bond. [break][break]

He places his wrist against his mouth as he uses his teeth to pull off his hairband. "Fine, but don't come crying to me if you get hurt." as he pulls the loop through his hand and wraps it around his hair as he jumps to attention, the floor shaking underneath him. It was times like this he missed Solgaleo's ability he stole from balder, it would have been useful right about now to blind Zev. "I wonder what'll break first. My fists? [break][break]
