Rikiya was born and raised in Saffron City, to parents who were both employed to Silph Co. as scientists in separate divisions. Rikiya, since a young age, was an intellectually gifted youth, albeit a massive troublemaker. Constantly getting into trouble for pulling pranks on his peers, as well as his teachers, but would not relent.
Went on to short journey through the Kanto Region at the age of eleven. His first Pokemon was an Elekid he was given as a gift by his parents before leaving. During this journey, he found and befriended a Pikachu, as well as having won a Porygon from a lucky streak at the Celadon Game Corner.
After his journey came to an end, he continued his studies, having found his passion in programming. Over time, his skill set expanded into hacking. His mischievous streak never came to an end, and to this day, acts out by performing prank calls, or other pranks to unsuspecting victims over the internet. After graduating from university in Hoenn, he got a job with Devon Corp, currently residing in Rustboro.
His parents made it out of Kanto safely during the past year, having taken up residence in the Kalos Region themselves. They are still in contact with their son, and despite his mischievous nature, are proud of what he's accomplished in life.
