In the same motion you grab the grunt's arm and twist it upward before delivering a left jab to their face. They go down like a sack of bricks. Looking over your shoulder you see your partners dealing with the criminal's pokemon; Nidoking swats a Koffing into the air with its tail while Incineroar stands atop a fallen Metang and flexes. It was nice to know that these battle maniacs were loyal to you and could tell the difference between rockets and people. Well ok they could if they wore the standard black uniform, otherwise he would need to command them to reel them in a little bit.

you looked back down at the grunt as they twitched and then back to the damage that they did when they thought they were some kind of hot shot elite. were they always this bold? well their take over of kanto was a big deal for them, so of course the little ants of that colony would be emboldened to try and take on bigger prey. too bad they picked on prey that would fight back, occasionally.

y'know, the simple things in life. you might have been angry at seeing team rocket today and alturistic enough to jump in and save a poor girl and her swablu as they fled. but that was in the past now. of course the past would be recorded in your journal so that you could reflect on it latter and harden your resolve like a metapod and cheer up the public with charity events that deserved most of your winnings than yourself.
