there's a eerie quiet to the ruins they walk amongst. the pair stand before the warehouse they've been sent to examine, though he isn't sure if there's enough of it left for it to still be called one. there's an infinite number of possibilities as to what's under the rubble, and his mind's only happy to play out his worst fears.

the druddigon woke up at the presence of the curious league cadet. the warehouse was large, although it was pretty much one big room with no redeeming factor besides its quietness for the dragon-type. with the sounds of footsteps coming in, however, it already has lost its value.

she was hidden deep within the confines of the warehouse, with a pretty little fort made out of shipping crates that was left untouched since the abandonment of the facility. while she had her assignment of guarding the perimeter of the warehouse, she hasn't made her move just yet. the trainers haven't entered the warehouse yet after all.

the croconaw did not bother her. her attention would be roused if the trainers themselves would enter however. she laid unmoving, laying on the floor as she tried to extend her nap time for five more minutes. she'd reveal herself momentarily if the trainers threaten the territory she was told to protect.

again.

within the confines of a city disgraced by rocket. the same scenery stretches before the trio. on the opposite end of the other, obscured by the hardly poised warehouse they stand beneath its shadow.

"alright, lets just, look around." she said, anxiety slightly trailing behind her tone. overlapped by the usual thrill for adventure. "it's like a treasure hunt! exciting, right?" she said, looking towards the pair.

umbra simply blinked in confusion while the mawile aside the shadow smiled cutely. the twinkle within her eyes marginal in comparison to the deadly array of teeth that rested behind her.

she led the way, the sound of her entrance most distinct by the weaker fragments of rubble. breaking beneath every footfall. light crept through wipe gaps within the ceiling. everything layered by dust.
