INTRODUCTORY BLURB

HEARING WHISPERS IN THE DARK

Viole is a young man who was raised in a deeply spiritual death cult located just outside of Ecruteak City. When the cult was found out, he was rescued and put in the foster care system. Where he was soon adopted by a nice couple who then moved to Hoenn.

He would then live in Littleroot for the majority of his teenage life - finding an interest in online activities such as forums and chat apps. Where he'd find like-minded people who enjoyed his hobbies and interests.

At eighteen he moved out of his parent's home in Littleroot and began traveling. Picking up jobs from bussing to busking as he pursued his passion as a vlogger. Documenting his adventures through video as he researched the mysteries of the Hoenn region.

Now at twenty-three he still keeps his nomadic lifestyle, only occasionally returning to his hometown to see his parents. Though he hides it well enough, he is still deeply scarred by his traumatic past due to the abuse and isolation he endured as a child by his aunt and uncle and their "commune".

Despite that, he carries on - keeping himself going with the wind at his back and the sun in his eyes. Perhaps out in this wide world, he'll find what answers he didn't know he was seeking.

WHAT CAN BE LOOKED UP

"CULT OF THE DAMNED?! THE DARK SECRET OF ECRUTEAK!"

Three days ago young local teenager, Dustin Woods - went missing in the forests surrounding Ecruteak City. Local authorities went searching for them after the victim's parents grew concerned.

Their body was then found deep within the woods - however, that was not the end of the terrifying discoveries. The perpetrators were none other than "Griseous Dawn" a cult who worshipped the Legendary pokemon for reasons unknown. Why they were outside of Sinnoh nobody knows. Though many can guess - we may never get an answer.

Several children were taken from the premises as the adults were arrested and questioned. Police Chief Duncan Castilla states that "The children will be given new homes where they can properly thrive away from the evil and cruelty of the cult leaders."

The people of Ecruteak deeply wish for the victim's loved ones to find peace through this tragedy. As well as the innocent lives twisted by such a horrible place to find happiness.

But this is a stark reminder, that sometimes evil is closer than you think.

LEAGUE KNOWLEDGE

POINTS OF INTEREST FOR THE LEAGUE FACTION

The League has a little bit more knowledge than what is known about the cult, publically. They know that various children were rescued from the cult and have simple files on any of the ones that left Johto for Hoenn. They also know the names and faces of the cult leaders and their subordinates. The cult is defunct and considered a non-issue, however, some League officials may keep tabs on those who were a part of the cult in some way or form in case the "Griseous Dawn" tries to rebuild itself in Hoenn, somehow.

ROCKET KNOWLEDGE

POINTS OF INTEREST FOR TEAM ROCKET FACTION

Rocket knows the same amount as the League does about the cult. Though it's up in the air if they have any files on the rescued children or the former cult members. They know that the head of the cult "Isaiah Weissman" escaped Ecruteak authorities and fled Johto for Kanto. Though if they have had contact with the said cult leader is questionable.

PERSONAL SECRETS

Viole's full name is "Violent Ymir Grace" according to his birth certificate. He has since altered his first name to just "Viole" instead.

His aunt and uncle are not blood-related to him. In fact, they were actually long-time friends of Viole's parents. They tried to coerce his parents into their cult, but when they refused - they murdered them. They then kidnapped the child and sequestered him away in their cult. Other children were also indoctrinated into the cult this way, whether they were homeless, missing, or kidnapped. Though some were born into the cult as well.

Viole has taken a life before, as a part of his "training" when he was ten years old. It was covered up by the cult leader - though the memories still haunt him in his dreams and nightmares.
