Next to the garden's lawnchair, underneath one of the bed's wooden beams was a notebook. Within it's pages, it seems as if someone has been cataloguing garden's progress. Along with... other details...

DAY 1
Hmph, today was too cold to suntan. The berries didn't seem right though so I tended to them, they should be good to grow in... two weeks time now? It was also really quiet though in the woods so I read some of my book. Such peace~ Next time I'm definitely going to bring some snacks with me.

DAY 2
Its still too cold... the sun is out though, I think its mostly the wind chill. Such a bummer... Well, at least I got to finish my book today. I'll need to get another one next time I'm in town. Just a note for later though: Get a romance novel, mystery thrillers are starting to get repetitive.

DAY 3
Ugh, it's raining. I had to move my lawnchair under some trees. At least I don't have to water the berries today. Luckily I didn't bring my book with me, otherwise it would be soaked. I took some time to explore the nearby forest and found a big pond. Maybe when it's warmer I'll take a swimm...

DAY 4
Still raining... how boring. How the hell can people do this Garden stuff for fun? Whatever. At least I brought an umbrella and book this time. I'll probably try and buy a nice umbrella to leave here for the summer when it gets too hot. While the weather sucks, at least my book was a nice read. Hopefully the protagonist grows a spine.

DAY 5
I heard rumors today that sometimes Grass Pokemon can help with the efficiency of gardens. And they weren’t wrong. Today I arrived and some of the berries have made great progress. And… I will not lie, having Chikorita around really helps keep my sanity intact. Today it was sunny but cold, so we spent most of the day sunbathing.

NOTE: On this day, Chikorita became the garden caretaker, granting harvests 50% duration reduction. They will evolve on 4.29.2023

DAY 6
Its insane how fast these berries have grown, I think they’re gonna be done tomorrow. At least the trees give some semblance of shade for the upcoming summer. Well- If I dont decide to replace them. But for now, Chikorita seems to enjoy hanging out around them. It was warm enough today where I could suntan a bit, but only my upper side. Hopefully I dont get any bad tanlines from this…

DAY 7
Quite the busy day it was today! It was so nice out but... instead of taking the opportunity to tan I spent the day harvesting my first round of berries! Such a super exciting thing. It seems I won't have to regrow them though which is nice. And it's also super cheap. I'll need to get more money to buy another book. Or maybe I should get a library membership...

NOTE: On this day berries were harvested, thus resetting the timer. The next harvest will be 4.24.2023.

DAY 8
Things were quiet and cloudy today. But it's the kind of weather that wasnt too cold or hot. I don't mind these kinds of days but- Ugh, it's so depressing. It reminds me of how Umbreon can be so serious sometimes. Anyways, with the harvest from yesterday wrapped up, I'm back to chilling out with Chikorita since I don't have a book to read.

DAY 9
Nothing really interesting today, but someone almost found my garden. Last I want is to anyone walk up uninvited and scare poor Chikorita. Well- maybe I should feel sorry for the intruder. I wouldn't even wanna make her man... anyways, I plan to get my library membership tomorrow. Hopefully nothing bad happens while I'm in town.

DAY 10
What the hell is the deal with Lilycove City? Everyone has always made out how nice and sunny it is- and how great the Department Store is. But it was dogshit. Rainy- horrible- not to mention the horrid wildlife. I'm never going back there if I can help it. This weird pokemon is kinda cute though... maybe I'll ask Cillian Quinn about it. No- scratch that- I'm still on his shit list. Maybe I'll go to the library after some relaxing and do some research...

DAY 11
It just occurred to me that I forgot to go get that library membership. Damnit... I'll have to get one next week. I have some kind of assignment in Rustboro in a few days so- Hopefully I'll get one sooner rather then later. Anyways, the garden looks fine today, but Chikorita seems tired. I think the cloudy these last few days has put a stain on their mood. It kind of reminds me of someone... but who?

DAY 12
Nothing really eventful happened today. It rained, which sucked, and Chikorita slept, which also sucked. On the bright side (not literally however) the garden looks pretty good! It looks like it'll be done in a few days. With how bad the rain is today I won't be sticking around much to read. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

DAY 14
The berries are done! Its kind of nice to not have to wait for the trees to regrow! Not to mention its such a lovely day. If it's like this tomorrow I'll definitely be suntanning!
