It seemed this matter was far from a simple tale. But at least it was holding her attention for now.

This was… going to be one hell of a long tale.

“This happened some time ago, out on Mount Pyre. There was… there was this cocoon that was beckoning to people who were curious enough to take a peek. You… you can guess what I did.”

Obviously, he was one of the few who dared venture there.

“There were some others who initially made the trip, however in the end it was just me, , and… . We ended up fighting the… the thing that came out of the cocoon; hell there was a Nihilego trying to kill it or something. It was…”

Words failed him.

“I remember Tom referred to it as the ‘Agent of Death’, and was rather familiar with it—him being Kalosian, you see—called it Yveltal or something.”

But of course she would know that Tom was no longer blessed by the bacon avian; and obviously he had the one that was on strike right now, so that left…

A long tale indeed. But she took in every bit of it. Consuming it like a gourmet dinner.

She gave Lars a small understanding nod, letting him know she had taken in the details of that little branch of the story. The names invoked were worrying, , a former friend of Callan if memory served her right, and a known Rocket. But be that as it may, those were tales for another time.

“So, how did that little disagreement between you and Razz end? I assume you walked out the victor of it?” She had dragged Lars through a grim tale so far, so stroking his ego was the least she could do.

“Well, he thought Kat and I were out of our minds trying to ‘attack a civilian’, but… our suspicions were right even though we had to ‘back down’ since he made the argument or something of… ‘attacking an unarmed civilian’ along those lines. But we, or at least I, knew better.”

He then pinched the bridge of his nose.

“So when Cal came out with that article exposing Adrian as a Rocket? I wasn’t surprised at all.”

Although he wasn’t sure if the other had mentioned the other was an Avatar or something along those lines in that article…

Alas it seemed her attempt at stoking Lars’s ego had been mildly unsuccessful? Oh well, there was always a next time.

“Ah. Quite the situation” She replied thoughtfully. It definitely seemed like a situation that would spawn bad-blood if it wasn’t dealt with at the time.

“Anything else after that?” Not to say this wasn’t bad enough.

Was there anything else she wanted to know about?

“Although, I think there was another Pokémon that came crashing in… it looked like a big-ass golem made of stone. Nothing like Golurk, it was… literally made of fucking rock and made this strange noise.”

He… he couldn’t duplicate the noise for the life of him because it was like a noise out of hell.
