[attr="class","beckmain"]after getting lost in the INTERDREAM MIST earlier and having to fight his way through encounter after encounter, he somehow ends up within the same cave his faction has spent so much resources on. he recognizes it from the pressure plate he had activated earlier.

eventually, priam and his mega evolved urshifu manage to get out of the interdream mist, leading them to a corridor where many people had set foot.

seeing the trail left by those who blazed through the obstacles left in the wake of the treasure hunt got priam feeling left out, but he tells himself it's fine. all he needed to contribute was to show up because his sheer luck with somehow rub off because of his divinity.

up ahead, he sees theo. "hey!" he shouts, calling his attention. "we meet again!"

so, the young grunt's voice and his presence acts as a lifeline.

"of course, i am!" he replies. "who do you think i am?"

he pounds his chest with a close fist.

"but where are we?" he asks. "i don't think this is where i was supposed to go for my next station. i think the mist got me lost."

he takes out a flashlight and shines it to the walls, helping both of them see under the circumstances. there's nothing worthy in priam's eyes, except maybe another leakage of interdream mist.

there's a vacancy behind his voice and the way he looks around that betrays him. he sighs, far more exhausted than priam seems to be, and definitely not matching the energy presented to him.

"i know of an easy way out!" he declares.

priam is such a respectable person that he's going to help his elders cross the road, though in this case, the road is a cave that they need to get out of.

he releases his gabite as his solution.

"we're digging out of this mess, gabby." the gabite salutes.

priam turns to theo as his pokemon does the work. "as you know, i'm, like, an expert tunneler around these parts. i might as well lead a gang called the tunnel snakes or something, y'know."

as he talks, his urshifu, who had been trying to hold the mega evolution for a while now, suddenly gets thrown back by a paradox pokemon from the mist, knocking it out.

they stare down an iron valiant, who stares back at them.

[attr="class","beckmain"]and so, an IRON VALIANT blocks their path, the worst possible match-up for machop and it shows the moment a single PSYCHO CUT gets thrown. the machop is split in two, body slopping to the ground after.

"hm."

too out of it to order his pokemon, his banette relies on itself as it fires off a THUNDER, MEGA EVOLVING as it does so.

"quick," he urges the underboss. "gabby's about to reach the other side!"

whether the other side led them to another room full of paradox pokemon, or if it's actually a safe place, priam didn't know. it does beat being trapped in a room with one of these monsters though.

priam takes out a pokeball and gets his trusty sigyliph out.

"reflect!"

the flying thing conjures a wall between them and the paradox pokemon, which should buy them enough time to get out of its territory, if the cave can be counted as one.

together, they make their escape, whether it be to safety or danger, they'll soon find out.

once both of them are inside the tunnel, priam orders his pokemon to double up on the barriers. layer after layer, the sigyliph sets them up so that the iron valiant's attacks would find it difficult to cut through.

a sigh of relief echoes inside their gabite-made tunnel.

"whew! safe."

the gabite on the lead continues to dig, bringing them away from the route where the pressure plate was, and eventually brings them where the cold breeze of the sea lets them breathe.
