The battle began— and Kama launched forth like a bullet, trying to nip a problem in the bud quick.

Kama slammed into the shield like a car into a lamppost, bouncing off it inelegantly after nearly concussing herself.

With a sharp shake of the head, she grumbled and gnashed her teeth before suddenly launching forth yet again, seemingly eager to break through the shield with her face—

Before suddenly leaping at the shield and slamming her foot atop it, kicking off to vault over the barrier and spinning in the air before bringing the blunt end of her scythes down unto her opponent in a clubbing motion.

Kama does not fail this time however, perhaps karmic retribution for laughing at the admittedly hilarious scene.

This does not save her from being affected by the malice, her limbs growing heavy as if filled with sand.

She does not take well to it, scoffing at her arms before raising them high (though it looked more like she was throwing them up) before bringing them down sharply.

A sonic boom followed, before walls of cutting air came flying towards her opponent.

As the Scyther raises her arms up and slams them down, Quill readies himself to take that move and turn it right back on her. Rather sloppily, he paints some more bright psychic pink onto the field- before lifting and slamming his tail down for his own artistic rendition of Vacuum Wave!

Kama's eyes widened as she got slapped into by inky winds, her body taking on a myriad of colors as she was cut into by the possessed paint.

Her arms crossed before her as she grit her teeth and held firm, her guard tightening further and further as wounds continued to appear on her chitin...

And then she sprang her arms wide, roaring.

A crimson aura came barreling out of her like a storm, pushing away the artistic vacuum waves. The z-energy swirled around her rapidly, pooling into her scythes before she swung down, releasing a storm around herself!

If there was one thing Quill didn't expect from opponents still, it was Z-energy and the moves that came with it.

And by golly, this one was a doozy.

It certainly didn't help that all of his attempts to fight back were moot, no matter how affected Kama was; the Smeargle was growing way more tired way faster, and yet he had to stay on his toes for this last leg of the fight.

Hurriedly, Quill throws up another Psyshield, ready to bash it at Kama should the opportunity hopefully arise.

Kama had about 5% left in the tank; the low battery notification that was her sagging breaths and hunched posture told of someone who needed a nap.

And she would get it.

Right after putting that Smeargle to SLEEP!!!

Once again, a shield stood in her path, and once again (perhaps foolishly) Kama chose to bypass and strike said shield. She launched forth, leaping at it and using it as a jump off point for her final attack— or mistake.

It was safe to say that Quill was running on fumes himself- tuckered out, but still. Sure, he'd be just fine going to sleep!

But not before knocking the Scyther down FIRST!!

Once again, Kama tries to jump the shield- but this time, Quill stands firm with it. If this succeeds, Kama gets a Bash right to the face. If not? Then he might have to deal with a few claw scratches in his fur.
