The Arcanine starts out with a Flamethrower. It glances Alpha's wing, the Talonflame kicking up a buttload of dust as he pumps his wings to take flight.[break][break]

Alpha wasn't really a pokemon used to battling like this, though. He was built more for speed, so that's what he would do.[break][break]

So, the Talonflame would kick up a Tailwinf for that speed boost before diving in at the Arcanine.

Tailwind roars around the space. Feeling the wind blast on his face, he really starts getting into the battle now. With eyes locked on the target, Arcanine keeps her guard up. Underestimating an opponent can be deadly.[break][break]
Bracing herself, Topaz opens it’s jaws and plans to use CRUNCH to latch onto the Talonflame for an extra powerful attack. [break][break]

The Talonflame is quick to react, using a Steel Wing to keep the bite from doing more than ruffle feathers. It still hurts, don't get him wrong, but those bones were delicate.[break][break]

"Full of tricks." Seb says more to himself, but Toshiaki is sure to hear it. A fire type with an electric move wasn't the weirdest thing Seb had seen, but it wasn't very common.[break][break]

But, the Arcanine wasn't the only one with tricks. Electricity charged in the air from the Wild Charge. Alpha did his best to pull away and Feint to try and avoid the dangerous shocks.

Being grounded was, like, the last thing that Alpha needed. He was strong and fast but pretty fragile, all things considered. With one of his advantages taken away, he would be a sitting duck.[break][break]
Maybe if he could stay away from this big paws and deal some damage with an Acrobatics, he would be able to stay in this a bit longer. And perhaps even cinch the victory.
