Something like a stray purrloin, or maybe more like a skitty. Evan is a man that never stays in one place too long and yet somehow too many people seem to know him by name. His presence is noted both by his unique look and the demeanor that follows it. Most will write him off as nothing more than a traveler without a destination with too kind a heart, but secrets seep out of his skin, given substance in the scars and tattoos that mar him.[break]
[break][break]

PUBLIC [break][break]

  • Owner of a Tavern in Rustboro, The Stray
  • Long time traveler and doer of odd jobs
  • A kind, people person and generally well liked by locals despite not being a native.

WHAT THE LEAGUE KNOWS[break][break]

  • Certain individuals may be privvy to his authorship if he has spoken to them in the past
  • Was not an official participant during the rocket invasion, but may have gained attention helping locals deal with problems while the league was busy with the actual threat

WHAT ROCKET KNOWS[break][break]

  • As far as rocket is concerned he's just a traveler.

PRIVATE/SEMI-PRIVATE[break][break]

  • Under the pen name Atticus Maine Evan is the Author of the Preservation series and various other articles.
    1. The Preservation series is a line of non-fiction books containing various stories, legends and urban legends from around the regions. This includes matters of the legendary pokemon ranging from manners of worship or stories/sightings and other urban legends people tie to them. Stories recounted and passed down amongst certain families and urban legends believed by locals in a variety of areas pertaining to other pokemon. He has a fondness for slipping in general life stories from locals as well and has a smaller known book dedicated to them.
    2. His books have led to him being contacted to write various Articles over the years pertaining to the same material or to use his writings of stories from locals in published works.
    3. his goal is to not just keep the information alive but to expose and revitalize an interest in local histories and stories.
    4. Orre is the only region not involved in his writings as returning to it triggers a psychological response he has yet to take care of.
    5. Is well known amongst those involved in his writings for being respectful and only containing the information they are willing to share with the public even if they share more with him. This has made it easier over the years for him to gain access to things he might not normally get access to as an outsider.
  • A 'child of the sands', he hails from Orre and one of the desert tribes that dwells there, the proof is in the scars and tattoos that wrap around his torso.
    1. It is relevant to mention that in the old days before his people were isolated in the Orre desert they were known for being collectors of stories and information, if you needed to know something they were the ones you sought out to ask your question. As such their expansive archives are littered across the regions though most of the ruins with anything intact are locked and difficult to open without damaging the archives. Evan knows how to open them.
  • While he has done research concerning Orre and his tribe he has kept it entirely to himself
    1. The closest he gets to sharing this information is the occasional rare story slipped into his books from his people's expansive archives, the ones that prompted his writings and compulsive need to revive the old stories to begin with.
  • While his writings are publicized and well received he consider's them nothing more than a gathering of stories and not meant to be anything but a gateway into the topics in a more authentic manner than educational writings tend to be.
  • goes to great lengths to make sure those that contribute to his writings are given a reasonable compensation- he doesn't really need the money anyway.
  • Has been affectionately refereed to as The Chronicler in the past and may have been heard of under the moniker by some.
  • Smile, so that I can remember you right
