one of his mightyena brings a deino by the scruff to their trainer. this wasn't what kyle was trying to find. he shakes his head and shoos his pokemon off. his mightyena releases the deino before bounding away and finding another pokemon.

there was a houndour, but kyle doesn't notice it since he's too busy trying to dry himself from the drizzle that the politoed brought. he tries to look for other mightyena from afar in case they brought something for him, but there was nothing else so far.

the shiny dog finally shows itself to kyle. eyes immediately homes into the differently colored houndour, greed getting the trainer to pull out a high frequency whistle to call his pokemon.

the houndour is stunned with the noise, stopping on its tracks immediately as soon as it sounded. it turns to kyle as the source of the noise, letting it get jumped by a mightyena from behind without it reacting against the larger dark-type. a yelp escapes the houndour before it finds itself underneath the mightyena.

his jaw grabs the houndour by the scruff, asserting dominance against the other canine easily through traditional means. the houndour doesn't fight back as the mightyena carries it all the way over kyle, the threat of an attack letting the wild pokemon's fear take over his mental.

kyle tosses a pokeball at it, capturing the shiny houndour.
