Stomping the snow from her boots as she entered the building, Magnolia pulled her coat hood back and sighed as the feeling of the warmth from inside washed over her. It was absolutely freezing outside - when was the last time that it had ever been this cold? For the life of her, she couldn't remember the last time that she had gotten to experience snow. Was it when she was a child? There are no memories that come to mind as she makes her way further into the building, away from the chill that lingers near the doors and ignoring the soon-to-melt footprints of snow that follows after from the remaining snow clinging to the bottoms of her shoes.

As materialistic as it was, her only goal for this trip was to load herself up with as many items as it took to get over the loathsome sadness that always weighed on her during the holidays. It had been years since she had seen or even talked to her family, but this time of year never failed to bring up memories and feelings that she would rather suppress and bury as deep as possible. So, what bette way to forget than gifting yourself material things to feel better? Magnolia can't help but get caught up in her thoughts as she window-shops at each store she passes, waiting for the perfect one to catch her attention.

Unfortunately, the thing that catches her attention isn't an item. It's a person. And she's just run straight into the back of them without thinking.

Curses fall from her lips before she's able to stop herself, attempting to regain her composure before whoever she's just barged into turns around to confront her. There's a soft huff that follows, a soft announcement of her irritation at herself, but it's quickly forgotten as she gives her best apologetic smile to the poor soul before her. "Apologies, it seems I was a million miles away in my own thoughts. Are you okay?" Surely they were - the collision hadn't been that terrible - but she didn't want to assume.
