His interest in the safari zone begins to wane after a good while and he leisurely begins to head back though through an alternative route. Of all the pokemon he encountered thus far, he had to admit that he was rather curious about the gecko that he'd seen earlier. Finding some interest in the creature and its habitat, he begins to keep his eye out for it.

Along the way he sees another bluish pokemon running aroud in the distance. Rather than a bird, it's features are more canine in nature and it runs around in with both feet. Still interested in finding a gecko, he continues down his path.

He hears the sound of sheep yet again and pushing past another thicket of bushes, he stares at another Wooloo rolling straight into a fence. The fur sinks into the fence before popping back out, bouncing the Wooloo back. Once more it rolls, striking into the wooden post again. He chuckles lightly seeing the odd yet humorous scene then retreats back to his path once more. He thinks back moments before where he encountered his own Wooloo, assuming it decided to roll into him.

The Greninja vanishes with a snap of a finger leaving no trace of its presence ever being here. Seeing the swiftness of its movements and its almost robotic nature, he frowns as he thinks back to his clan's cruelty. He wishes that he could have done more, but now it was too late and the damage was already done.

As he reminisced about the past, his sight narrows down on a familiar gecko. Seeing its presence he slowly raises the last safari ball in his possession. He reels his hand back to throw it, but stops. He could end things now, yet that would defeat the purpose of his visit. Holding no scruples in continuing on, he puts the ball away and begins wandering again.

He's surprised to see another dog approach him with eagerness. Its orange fur easily catching his sight as it comes closer. Yet, despite its friendly nature it stops at a distance, sitting on its hind legs as it stares at him. He casually reaches down to the ground picking up a stick and tosses it in the distance. The Growlithe perks up at the sight and quickly chases after, bringing it back to him.

Content in playing around with the dog, he plays fetch for a while longer before parting ways with it.

His ears perk at the sound of whining in the distance. Suddenly alert he rushes towards the sound to find a Growlithe with golden fur limping about. The sight of blood trickling onto the grass from one of its hind legs is surprising as the Safari Zone is supposed to be a safe haven for these rarer pokemon. He carefully approaches, but the sight of him only makes the Growlithe weary of his presence.

"Shh." he hushes, approaching at a low angle.

The Growlithe retreats but is unable to move far due to its injury. It doesn't take long for him to catch up. Taking out a potion he from his bag he reaches out for the dog only to feel a sharp pain in his hand. The Growlithe had bitten him causing the Greninja to appear from the shadows with a dark blade in hand. He glares at the Greninja shaking his head as he endures the pain. He takes the opportunity to spray the potion onto its leg relieving the poor dog from its pain. Realizing his intentions, it retracts its teeth to stare at him.

"This is just temporary treatment. If you come with me I can take you to someone that can help." he says quietly, holding out the Safari Ball. The Growlithe feeling somewhat regretful for attacking him begins to lick Ken's wound. Seeing this he sets the Safari Ball besides the Growlithe. "It's your decision."

It turns back to him, head tilted and after a moment of silence, it touches its nose against the ball, letting the light take it as it disappears into the Safari Ball.
