It's been awhile since he went out with just his mimikyu at his side, he can sense how upset she is over the fact too. This entire endeavor has been a new one for the both of them. Staying in one place for so long is odd, having so many pokemon around is odder and the fact that they have begun to become a stagnate part of a community is foreign to the both of them. Evan feels like it's going to start weighing on him soon and he's not sure how he feels about that.

Then there's the other pair of problems. His past looking to bite him and a future that he's never accounted for putting itself right in front of him. Evan doesn't know for sure how to feel about either one. In a lot of ways the new year has already been to much all at once and he's got no way of knowing which path to go on. The man has always taken things as they come and perhaps that's why he feels so strongly about this outing with his longest standing companion.

The mimikyu feels it too, he can tell in how she looks back at him when she scurries too far ahead of him on the path.
