What he did was questionable. But it didn’t bother Mason, he was just being true to his values and he did not give a single damn of what others thought about it. Though this battle need to end.

While all the commotion was happening, the Volcarona swooped above Mason, and the Togepi jumped up and hopped onto the flame moth.

Right after the Silvally attacked the Decidueye, the duo went towards it and launched a combined attack. The Togepi jumped mid air and released a bright light from its body towards the Silvally, a Dazzling Gleam, whereas the Volcarona flapped its wings towards the Silvally, a Fiery Dance of flames were then launched at it.

The Togepi then dropped back onto the Volcarona and the two retreated as quickly as they came.

Then everything disappeared, someone turned the light off. Mason was shocked but he held his ground, anticipating almost anything.

This was the first time Mason had seen a Pokemon like that, one that seemed to change form after given a type of disc. He was intrigued by it for a bit. [break][break]

Never was there situations Mason had encountered where attacking a trainer was necessary, and his Pokemon knew this best. So when the boy gasped, the watching Volcarona swooped in and shot strings of silk from its mouth towards the man in order to protect him from getting hit by the Leaf Storm.

Mason immediately followed the other trainer, with Togepi in his arms, in pursuing the odd-looking Kommo-o, The Volcarona took note of this and followed them as well. [break][break]

The perpetrator was caught red handed with bags of money in his hand. [break][break]

Mason thought a few steps a head and didn’t stop walking like the other did. He swiftly approached the Kommo-o, with a few steps apart for safety measures and brought the Togepi near it. ”Yawn,” he whispered. [break][break]

And the Togepi yawned, attempting to make the Kommo-o feel drowsy. Mason then retreated a few steps back. The Dragon-type Pokemon had caused enough damage.

Mason held his breath when the Decidueye barely dodged the attack. Most of the civilians seemed to have made their way out so he picked up the Togepi and walked closer towards the other trainer, who seemed to be giving a command to his Zoroark. [break][break]

All Mason wanted was to tame the Kommo-o. But he’ll go along with Jasper’s plan first. If it fails, he’ll ask Kanna the Togepi to put the dragon to sleep; and if that still fails he will have to resort to more brutal approaches.

Mason was wandering around the mall when it happened, enjoying his strawberry-flavoured popsicle. The Togepi he met recently sat comfortably between his arm and chest, enjoying her own popsicle that Mason bought for her.

A scream then alerted him. He threw the remains of the popsicle in a nearby trashcan and dashed towards the source of the scream, the casino. When he arrived there, an odd looking Pokemon wreaked havoc. He had never seen such a dark-looking Kommo-o before. [break][break]

Thankfully, another trainer took hold of the situation an attacked the odd Kommo-o. But fighting had never been Mason’s priority in situations like this.

He took out a small Poke Ball from his pocket, clicked the button on its centre and threw it up into the air. A Volcarona appeared out of it. Having faced something like this before, all Mason needed to do was look at the Volcarona to tell him what to do. The fire moth immediately flew to where people were scattered near the battle, spreading its wings to give them an opening to get out of there.

”Everybody! This way!” he shouted, signalling the exit with his hands, the Togepi helped as well by copying him. Tho many might not see her as she was too small. Groups of people heard his cry and made the exit. Mason knew that some people need a little bit of guidance under panic.

The Moon was nowhere to be seen in the night sky. The cold breeze swept through the boy and his Torterra, announcing the arrival of Autumn. Then, a rustle broke the silence.

Terry the Torterra was faster to react, moving to block his Trainer from being hit by the wild Pokemon.

The wild Pokemon seemed to be very small, bouncing easily from Terry’s hard shell. It even seem like it took more damage than it inflicted.

A few seconds passed by and when Mason deemed it safe, he took a closer look to what ambushed them. And he was a bit shocked when he saw a Togepi.

The Togepi didn’t move for a while and that got the boy worried. He decided to take it to the nearest Pokemon Center, so he brought out the spare Poke Ball from his pocket and threw it near the Togepi.

Mason was there in Sootopolis. And he saw something he felt like he should not have. For weeks now, he had retired into the safety of his house. Afraid to ever step back into the outside world. Ever since then as well has his Pokemon not see the light of day, kept within their Poke Balls as their master was too paranoid of putting them in danger once again.

One night, the dream came back to him. The fleeting moment when the giant beast cast its glare unto him.

*gasp*

He plunged his body forward. His clothes drenched in sweat. His heart beating unreasonably fast and his lungs gasp for air. He looked at the clock beside his bed, 3:40am. There was no way he was going back to sleep.

After he changed clothes and grabbed his scarf. He walked out of his house. As soon as he took a step outside, his Torterra, Terry, came out from his Poke Ball. ”Hi Buddy.” the boy greeted the tortoise-like Pokemon with a small smile.

They walked side by side in that quiet night. With no destination in mind.

And they ended up in Rustboro for some reason. There, Mason found himself in a Pokemon battle since the Sootopolis incident.

Mason could not bring himself to open his eyes, and yet he still saw rapid changes of light. Everything sounded like static and the boy was more drenched and cold than ever, he still had not quite recover from the cold and damp waterfall adventure he went through. This was too much for him.

He could not really decipher what and @izzy said to him. But his Volcarona, Elio, did understand what needed to be done. When they were fully ascended from the spiralling torrent, Elio escaped from the grasp of the water he loathed so much.

Mason agreed to follow the girl with the long white hair. She seemed to know what she was talking about and might be his only chance at escaping from whatever madness they were in. Before the boy could hop on to one of the girl’s Pokemon, his Volcarona picked him up from the ground. [break][break]

It was the first time for both of them. Mason didn’t even know that his Volcarona, Elio was able to lift him up. Maybe it was because Mason was not that heavy to begin with. He was smaller than most of his peers. Mason and Elio followed behind the girl and her Togekiss. A leap of blind faith he’d describe it. [break][break]

He still couldn’t understand what was happening. All he got was his guts and his Pokemon. [break][break]

Then, before he knew it, he was completely wet again. Cold water drenched his body and he could feel Elio tightening his grasp around him. Mason clutched his hands aroound Elio’s, desperate to not get separated. Before he could close his eyes though, he saw it. A creature, so majestic in the middle of the torrent of water. He was quite sure that the creature was not the same one as the creature he saw before, but nevertheless he was breath taken. [break][break]
